Service is LE with Entry Points A Service cannot be located on a

- Road Element representing a motorway (except for Frontier Crossing, Ferry Terminal, Toll Gate and Mountain Pass)

- Road Element with Back Road value.

- Road Element with Special Restriction (except if located on a captured Company Ground)

Entry Point

Database representation of a location on the transportation network through which an activity can be entered.

Place along the road segment, paying special attention to the correct side of street

Entry Point represents an entrance of an activity or a combination of an entrance with an exit. It never represents an exit of an activity only.

For activities which can only be accessed through a parking facility

, the Entry Point shall refer to the entrance of that parking. Entry Point is a type of Service.

Entry Point

Entry Point is a point location on the publicly accessible road network.

However, for activities which are only accessible via the railway network, the waterway network or a ferry route, Entry Point refers to a location on the railway network, the waterway network or the ferry route.

Entry Point cannot be located on a Road Element with ETA (Parking Building)

Can be of Type 3: Location on a predefined place (PP)

Importance

database representation of the level of importance of an activity at a specific location.

Importance is an optional and unique attribute of a Service except for Entry Point.

Opening Period database representation of the time period in which an activity at a

specific location is open for the public. is optional and repetitive attribute of a Service

Airline Access

Each terminal on each captured Airport with more than one terminal; OR arrival and departure access roads differ; OR domestic and international roads differ

Location of the activity itself (LS) with Entry Point(s). point location not located at the Road Network.

Airport/Railway Station

Accommodates scheduled public passenger traffic for national or international air connections Airport is a point location not located at the Road Network.

Railway Station provide facilities for persons to board public transport trains or underground transport.

Location of the activity itself (LS) with Entry Point(s). Airport shall not be captured for military airports. Entry points of Airline Access are same as entry points of airport

Beach-database representation of an area of sand or stones beside the sea or other water area.

Mountain Peak-database representation of the top of a mountain. Scenic/Panoramic View is the database representation of a location

offering a beautiful and particular country sight. point location that is not located at the Road Network. Location of the activity itself (LS) without Entry Point(s).

Centre of Settlement database representation of a central activity point of a settlement or

administrative area Location of the activity itself (LS) with or without Entry Point(s). If

without Entry Point, the Center of Settlement has to be located at the Road Network

Center of Settlement Administrative Class is a mandatory and unique attribute of Center of Settlement

Opera is the database representation of a facility that has opera performances as main activity

Park and Recreation Area is the database representation of an area designed and maintained as park and recreation area

Open Parking Area is the database representation of an open-air facility especially designed for and designated to the parking of cars.

Exception Cases

Frontier Crossings in both Countries. For one border crossing, 2 Frontier Crossings shall be captured: one in each of the concerning Countries.

Frontier Crossing shall not be captured on Road Elements with one way traffic flow leading into the country

a Road Element with traffic flow in both directions is bounded to a Road Element situated on theCountry border and is not bounded to a Road Element in the other Country, Frontier Crossing shall not becaptured in the last mentioned Country
