ANNUAL REPORT

CEO MESSAGE

Dear Moyer Foundation MVP,

On behalf of the entire team at The Moyer Foundation, thank you for your

compassion, dedication, and support. As we celebrate 15 years of helping children and

families affected by grief and addiction, we know that the need for our services is

greater than ever.

Support from steadfast partners such

as New York Life and Indivior has

enabled us to strategically expand our

outreach each year. For the first time

in the Foundation’s history, in 2015

both Camp Erin and Camp Mariposa

expanded to the same location

simultaneously as we launched in the

state of Louisiana. Camp Erin also

added another international location

in Eastern Ontario, Canada and Camp

Mariposa expanded to our nation’s

capital, Washington, D.C.

We are also pleased to announce that the Department of Justice awarded us a

$2 million multi-year grant to fund existing Camp Mariposa locations and support

expansion to new locations with added mentoring and family support services.

As a result of your efforts, Camp Erin remains the largest network of bereavement

camps for children ages 6-17 and was offered to families in 46 locations in 2015

reaching over 3,000 grieving children and teens. Camp Mariposa, our weekend

camps for children ages 9-12 impacted by a family member’s addiction, hosted 44

camps in 8 locations across the U.S. in 2015, providing over 950 free weekend camp

experiences.

Together we can ensure that every child has an opportunity for a healthy future.

Thank you for all you do to support our campers and families!

1 in 7 children in America will lose a parent

or sibling before age 20.

Children who live with an

adult struggling with

addiction are

4 X more likely to develop an

addiction of their own. Mary FitzGerald (2nd from R) at the inaugural Camp Erin South

Louisiana, with volunteers and staff from New York Life and Baton Rouge Cancer Services.

More than 21,500

children and teens

have attended

Camp Erin and

Camp Mariposa

since 2002.

2015 The Moyer Foundation Resource Center

The Moyer Foundation Resource Center moved from concept to planning

and development. This included the hiring of a Resource Center Director

and collaboration with care providers and partners to determine the most

pressing issues for children and families facing addiction and/or

grief. Strategic partnerships were established with the assistance of a Task

Force Committee and a robust library of carefully curated content was

prepared for a 2016 launch.

The Moyer Foundation Resource Center is made possible through the generosity of

the Jolene McCaw Family Foundation.

“Camp showed me I can let go of the pain and celebrate the good things in life!” - Anna, age 10

“Camp has helped me not be sad about my dad and has helped me be safe.” - JP, age 9

New York Life Foundation’s support has been instrumental in growing the Camp Erin network from 8 camps in 2008 to 46 in 2015.

On November 18, 2015, New York Life Foundation partnered with The Moyer Foundation to host our first ever Capitol Hill Day in Washington, DC! New York Life Foundation President Heather Nesle joined the founders and key staff from The Moyer Foundation as they escorted Camp Erin partners from

across the U.S. in over 30 meetings with members of Congress, briefing them on the critical but often overlooked issue of childhood bereavement, and sharing the positive impact Camp Erin has had on thousands of children and families.

New York Life Foundation also significantly supports The Moyer Foundation through engaging its employees and agents in partnership activities to support Camp Erin in their local communities. In 2015, 24 New York Life offices and hundreds of agents and employees across the country engaged in partnership projects ranging from donation drives for needed camp items, to hosting pizza parties, to serving as camp buddies for the weekend.

Thank you, New York Life Foundation!
