The Need for Health Literacyin the Pacific:
According to a recent Micronesian survey, 80% want more information on health: 22% said that health information was ‘very’ or ‘sort’ of hard to understand.
Other studies found patients with high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, & HIV/AIDS; have limited health literacy (have poor knowledge of their illness & management)
