1. Have you ever seen fear lead people to act in hurtful ways toward others? Have

you ever felt fear of someone who is different tugging at your heart and mind?

2. When you sense fear taking hold in any setting, what can you do to resist it and

move yourself and others toward more loving ways of relating?

3. Sometimes in prayer we try to tell God the exact right way to answer our prayer.

In cases of illness, we ask for physical healing—but we may forget to ask for and

value God’s presence that can be with us and those we love even in suffering. How

can Moses’ early life remind us that God is at work even when conditions do not

magically change, or work out in the way that would seem ideal to us?

4. Who are the “Pharaohs” you may be facing right now? How can you receive the

support and presence God offers, especially if it shows up in unexpected ways?

How can you then be God’s hands, feet, and voice for someone else facing their own

challenges in life?
