EWM 1000Electronic Control

The main novelty on these machines is theEWM 1000 fully electronic control.

It combines the 3 functions:

User Interface

ØRotary programme selector (16 positions) with integrated 2-pole main switch

ØRotary selector (optional), either for temperature or for spin speed selection

ØUp to 5 pushbuttons: START/PAUSE + 4 options (either horizontally or vertically arranged)

ØUp to 11 LEDs horizontally, or 15 vertically arranged

ØOptional buzzer integrated in the board

Programme Selector S116 positions

Upper position is always ON/OFF.The remaining 15 can beconfigured for:

ØProgrammes for fabric types: COTTON/LINEN, SYNTHETICS, DELICATES, WOOL, HANDWASH, with several pre-set temperatures (unless S2 is used as a temperature selector)

ØSpecial programmes: SOAK, RINSE, DELICATE RINSE, FABRIC CONDITIONING, DRAIN, SPIN , DELICATE SPIN

Secondary Selector S26 positions

ØUsed on horizontally arranged panels only, to select either temperature, or spin speed and options (RINSE HOLD, NO SPIN, NIGHT CYCLE)

ØIs in fact a continuous-range potentiometer; segments of this ranges are allocated in the microprocessor to the selected options/values

ØStops in 6 position are created by plastic part in CB housing, to give selector “feel”

Pushbuttons and LEDs

ØOne of the pushbuttons is always configured as START/PAUSE

ØThe remaining pushbuttons can be configured for programme options, or as selectors

ØPushbutton 1 with two LEDs can be used to select between two options which can’t be selected simultaneously (e.g. SHORT, VERY SHORT), or to select delayed start



ØPushbuttons 2-4 can be configured for a single option each

ØAvailable options are: RINSE HOLD, NIGHT CYCLE, PREWASH, STAINS, VERY SHORT, SHORT, ECONOMY, EXTRA RINSE, BLEACH, HALF LOAD, EASY IRON, SPIN REDUCTION (or START/PAUSE)



ØPushbutton 5 can be configured for a single option or as a selector (spin speed or delayed start), but one LED will always be res- erved for CYCLE END

ØIn case pushbutton 5 is used for a single option, the row of 5 LEDs will show the cycle phases

OptionsRINSE HOLD

Øends the cycle with water in the tub, i.e. without performing final drain and spin

Øto drain the water, the machine must be switched off, and a DRAIN or SPIN cycle selected separately

Øall spin phases eliminated

Ø3 rinses added to COTTON/LINEN cycles, 2 to SYNTHETICS cycles

Øto continue, the machine must be switched off, and a DRAIN or SPIN cycle selected separately


OptionsPREWASH

Øadds a 30°C prewash phase (cold only if cold main wash was selected)

Øin COTTON/LINEN and SYNTHETICS cycles, a short spin phase is inserted before wash

ØPREWASH option not available in WOOL or HANDWASH cycles


OptionsSTAINS

Øafter the first heating phase to 40°C, a mechanical movement phase of 5 minute length is inserted

Øwater is filled via prewash compartment used for the stains remover in this case (option can’t be selected simultaneously with PREWASH)

ØSTAINS option not available in DELICATES, WOOL or HANDWASH cycles


Options VERY SHORT (or QUICK, or TIME SAVINGx2)

Østructure of wash phase in COTTON/LINEN, SYNTHETICS, and DELICATES cycles changed to obtain good washing results in a very short time (with reduced load)

Ø1 rinse eliminated

Øwater level increased in remaining rinses

Øtime reduction of about 50 minutes


Options SHORT (or DAILY, or TIME SAVING )

Østructure of wash phase in COTTON/LINEN and SYNTHETICS cycles changed to obtain good washing results in a shorter time

Øtime reduction of about 15-20 minutes


OptionsECONOMY (Energy label)

Østructure of COTTON/LINEN 40°-90° and SYNTHETICS 50°/60° cycles changed to reduce energy consumption

User Mode

ØTurn programme selector to the desired cycle, START/PAUSE LED will flash

ØPress START/PAUSE pushbutton to start cycle, led will light steadily

ØTo modify a selection after cycle start, the selector must be first turned to the OFF/ CANCEL position, then a new cycle can be selected in the normal way


Demo Mode

To enter the demo mode, press START/PAUSEand one option button simultaneously, and turnprogramme selector to the second positionclockwise, until LEDs start flashing (positionof pushbuttons is configurable, and may vary).

ØThen turn programme selector to the position to be demonstrated

ØThe cycle phase LEDs will show the different cycle phases in sequence

ØThe drum will shortly turn in both direct- ions in the wash phase, but will not turn in the spin phase

ØInlet valve & drain pump are not activated

ØTo exit, turn the selector in the OFF/CANCEL position
