Cruise Prices

• The cost is based on two or double occupancy—it’s per person, based on two passengers to a room.

• Depend on where your room is located on the ship. The industry use the term stateroom.

• The higher the deck the stateroom is on, the higher the price.

• Outside staterooms (which have windows or Ocean View) are generally more expensive than inside or interior staterooms. (generally w/o windows).

• Larger staterooms are more expensive than smaller ones.

• Staterooms with balconies generally cost more than those without.

• Outside staterooms who’s views are obstructed (lifeboat) are less expensive.

• It’s possible to have varying prices of staterooms on a single deck:

• Many factors affect price:a. Book 6 or more months in advance.b. Last minute sale, when ship not full.c. Special promotions.d. 3rd or 4th person in a room.e. Repositioning cruise, when vessels are moving from one

general cruise area to another are almost always a bargain.f. Alumni or Past Guest (if you’ve sailed before).g. Group (minimum will vary by cruise line – some say 5 or more)h. Seasonality
