When talking to a customer about a connector, ask what it mates to.

Example … quite often people using headers will use a programming shunt. Typical application is a 1x3 header … when shunted it makes an economical switch.

We offer various shunts in the .100” and .079” pitch product offering …” 2J” heading.

PLCC Sockets

This socket accepts an IC chip and is used so that the chip can be mounted to a printed circuit board.

The PLCC socket is permanently soldered (SMT) to the PCB so that the chip may be simply inserted and removed from the socket for easy repairs and upgrades.

Conforms to the international standard IEC 61076-4-101 to insure compatibility among brands.

The “5+2” designation refers to the 5 rows of signal pins and 2 optional rows of grounding or shielding contacts
