IMPORT QUOTASIMPORT QUOTAS A quantity control on imported merchandise for a

certain period of time In determining quota priority for merchandise

subject to quota • Entry summary or warehouse withdrawal for

consumption submitted • Merchandise located within the port limit

Absolute Quota Absolute Quota Limits the importable quantity for a year Quantities in excess of a specified quota

Reexported or Warehoused at the bonded warehouse for

entry in a subsequent year Agricultural products which had been under

Absolute Quota previously became Tariff-rate quota products per P.P. of 12/23/1994

Absolute quotas for textile articles and wearing apparel ended 12/31/ 2004.

Currently no products subject to Absolute Quota.
