Energy Action Plan “Meeting this goal requires the cooperation and teamwork

of multiple sectors of the California economy,” (2008 Update, pg.2).

CPUC Long-Term Strategic Plan “California has taken this principle to heart and with three

decades of leadership and innovation in the public and private sectors, California leads the nation, and perhaps the world, in developing and implementing successful energy efficiency efforts,” (pg.1).

CAISO Energy Efficiency and Demand Response Roadmap “Based upon input receive during the roadmap’s stakeholder

process about the need for collaboration, the ISO, CPUC, and CEC are developing a cross-agency DR and EE workplan,” (pg.2).

AB 32 and Prop 39 implementation facilitated through statewide approaches to developing statewide consistent savings estimates.

EPA’s proposed rule for regulating emissions from existing plans released June 1st EPA released proposed rule for regulating carbon

emissions from power plants on June 1, 2014, pursuant to Section 111(d) of the CAA

Energy efficiency will very likely be accepted method for achieving compliance

Cal TF may foster compliance using efficiency if it leads to statewide system of ex ante values for energy efficiency

Conclusion

Cal TF clearly supports and will help achieve state goals for energy efficiency.

Furthermore, Cal TF will facilitate implementation of new federal and state clean energy initiatives, including: AB 32 and Prop 39 implementation Section 111(d) of the Clean Air Act
