• Design Phase Construction Management - LiRo/Gilbane• Construction Management will be by NSLS-II Team• Construction will be competitive Lump-sum contracts to general

Site Preparation

Prepares site for Ring Building contractor, isolates & reroutes utilities, clears trees, closes monitoring wells, verifies no environmental liabilities

Will be done prior to start of Ring Building Contract

Ring Building Main contract, provides all buildings and on-site utilities

Interfaces to all packages except CHW Plant

Electrical Substation & PowerIncreases capacity of BNL substation for NSLS II, brings 20 MW at 13.8 kV to site

Connect to power 13.8kV at construction site boundary

Chilled Water PipingBrings Central Chilled Water piping to construction site boundary

Connect to chilled water at construction site boundary

Chilled Water Plant ExpansionExpands capacity of Central Chilled Water Plant

No interface with Ring Building Contract

Future Lab Office BuildingsProvides lab and office space for research teams and staff

Added to exterior of Ring Building at each Pentant after Pentant is accepted from Ring Building contractor FY 2012-13

• CF & ASD effectively coordinating requirements to assure design meets performance goals• Regular & frequent coordination meetings• Active ASD interaction with CF A/E (HDR)

• CF design on track for completion in late August to support bid and award for Spring 09 construction start

• Development of detailed commissioning plan for CF facilities to enable hand-off for ASD installation & commissioning is underway (CFAC Recommendation)
