Course Content Questions About Class

This course will cover the scientific inquiry of the nature of basic things such as motion, forces, energy, matter, heat, sound, light, and composition of atoms. Chemistry is about how matter is put together, how atoms combine to form molecules, and how molecules combine to make up the many kinds of matter around us. Biology is still more complex and involves matter that is alive. So physics supports chemistry, which in turn supports biology. The ideas of physics are fundamental to these more complicated sciences This is why physics is the most basic science. Within the class of physics students will be required to complete workbook assignments in class, participate in in-class activities, cooperate with peers in groups, and complete assigned homework and projects.
