Remodeling & Repair of Toilet Blocks of HostelsIt was decided that a committee of representatives from N,BCC andPWD (B&R) under the chairmanship of Head of Civil Engineeringacpartment of GZSCET Bathinda, will visit the college to examine thecause 'of cracks aoo other deteriorations developed in the Hostel(s), theChemical Block and/or other buildings of the college campus. Thecommittee shall also suggest remedial measures to be taken. Thecommittee will also fix the responsibility for poor quality of constructionof this hostel as well as other blocks/hostels and other college buildings.Further decision on who shall pay the cost of repair of these structures aswell as cost of remodelling shall be taken after receiving report of thecommittee, It was 'also decided that PWD (B&R) will examine whetherthe hostel building is safe for occupancy or not. The committee shallsubmit its report within 15 days.

ChiefArchitect Punjab presented a revised architectural design of hostels inthe meeting which was approved by the committee. It was decided thatChief Architect Punjab will 'give this ar chi tcctural design to PWf)(B&R), Ferozepur for construction of boys. and girls hostels in thecollege campus. It was also decided that the college will send :1 proposalto the Government of Punjab for securing deficit funds from NABARDfor the construction of'thesehostels,

Item No, 11.9 : Approval to Get Soft Loan from PTU .Jn la n d h a r for theconstruction of Hustcls at SBSC£T, Ferozcpur under S££1\'1 Project

Decision Item was approved in principle. Since PTU is running a SEEM Projectin the college campus for providing education to J 0+ J and 10+2students, therefore, if was decided to approach the Punjab TechnicalUniversity (PTU) Jalandhar through Punjab Govt for getting a grant/sort.loan.of Rs. 10.00 Crore for the construction of boys' and girls' hostels'whid~ will be used Cor .sEEM project' students and other students of thecollege. Under this SEEM scheme, PTU is providing free education aswell as boarding and lodging facilities in the college campus to aboutJ 00 students from economical weaker sections and rural areas of Punjab.
