It seems e have been spoiled by the rains and relativelycool days … not many over 90 by the middle oJuly! And the rain has kept the need to ater pretty minimal hile letting the plants ourish … I hope you are able to take advantage othe lovely summer to get some illustrations completed or this next year . We ill have opportunities to shoand sell art throughout the coming year. Te annual American Society oBotanical Artists meeting ill be in Phoenix this year, another opportunity or a estern venue beore the meeting heads to Pittsburgh and NeEngland or the next to years. Te meeting has expanded to three days ith some terric opportunities to take classes rom stars ocontemporary botanical art and illustration. I ould encourage you to peruse the inormation in the June ASBA nesletter and consider attending this last estern meeting or a eyears. Te meetings are un and the inspiration is huge! Te middle othe year is none to soon to begin thinking about volunteering or RMSBA in 2010. We have committees that ould benet rom your involvement and you ill benet rom orking ith other RMSB A artists. Tis is entirely a volunteer organization and becomes better hen more members can be part othe action. Give it some thought and talk ith people you meet at the next to meetings. Speaking othose meetings, I hope you have them in your calendars … 13 September at Susan DiMarchi’s home north oBoulder and 6 December at Susan Rubin’s nehome in east-central Denver. More inormation is provided in the nesletter, but these ill be great opportunities to socialize ith other members, eat some excellent ood, check out someone else’s studio space, and, oh yeah, learn some nethings about botanical art.
