Central Wyoming College built an arts facility in 1983 through use of the state’s mineral royalty funds and generous private contributions. The Robert A. Peck Arts Center boasts an almost acoustically perfect 942-seat auditorium, estab-lishing itself as the cultural center of the region. One wing of the Arts Center contains equipment and materials for design, pho-tography, lithography, painting, pottery, jewelry and much more. The gallery is home to local and traveling art exhibits, and the north wing of the Arts Center houses the music department.

This forgotten classic is an authentic piece of Americana – a folk tale told in the poetry of hillbilly dialect, interspersed with well-known folk songs and hymns. Set in the Great Smoky Mountains during the 1920s, it is the story of a witch boy who relinquishes his magic powers for the love of a human girl. The meddling of their superstitious neighbors leads to violence and tragedy. Don’t miss this seldom-produced drama which is unlike anything else in the American theater.

In the little village of Anatevka, Tevye, a poor dairyman, tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jew- ish community in the face of changing social mores and

the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Fiddler on the Roof has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth, and honesty.

Its universal theme of tradition cuts across boundar-ies of race, class, nationality, and religion. The cel-ebrated score features songs like “Sunrise, Sunset,”

If I Were a Rich Man, and “Matchmaker,” to name a few. Fiddler on the Roof is, quite simply, one of the greatest musicals of all time.
