    for

    a ladder

    truck for th e fire depar tment . The Deputy City Clerk gave

    th e

    read ing.

    Interim

    Chief ofFire, John Payne, presented the

    Council

    wth

    a

    list of items that

    are

    still needed

    to

    outfit the

    new

    fire truck.

    Alderman Norris

    asked

    if the

    truck

    finalized.

    Chief Payne stated

    the

    bulk of

    the

    truck

    was finished.

    Alderman Lewis

    asked ifaccessor ies were a

    a want. Chief P ay n e s ta te d

    they

    were n eed s .

    Captain

    S h a n e Holmes

    stated

    h e wouldn' t want

    to

    se e a brand new fire truck

    with

    old

    equipment on it. He

    stated itwould

    cause more

    holes

    and

    brackets

    in

    the

    new

    truck because the

    older equipment is

    outdated

    and not

    designed

    to

    fit

    the

    truck.

    the thermal imagining camera

    is

    beneficial

    du e

    to the fact

    on e

    h a s failed leaving the F ire Depar tment with only on e camera.

    He

    also stated it was c heaper

    fo r

    the City to

    purchase

    wireless electronic equipment

    because wired equipment would cost more

    for

    instillation and extra

    wiring.

    stated the

    Public Facil it ies

    Board

    only

    had

    application

    turned

    in

    before

    the

    deadline. The

    Public

    Facilities Board nomnated Dave Gattinger.

    Alderman

    Hogue m a d e a motion to appoint Dave Gattinger

    to the Public

    Facilities

    Board

    fo r

    a term ending

    in

    May 2019. Alderman Saunders seconded the motion it

    passed unanimously.

    resolution approving a

    for

    Maumelle Water Management to construct a water

    storage

    tank in a R1

    zone . The

    the reading.

    seconded the

    motion

    and

    MAYOR S COMMENTS

    Mayor

    Watson

    s ta ted the

    Maumel le

    Chamber of Commerce

    will be host ing

    a fishing

    derby on August 1 5 .

    Mayor Watson noted the Charter school starts back on August 7 and asked everyone to

    be

    cautious as the traffic

    volume increases.

    Alderman Johnson g av e the Counci l an d residents a handout regarding collections on Communi ty Service Fees.

    Mayor Watson stated he agreed

    there

    was a problem an d th e

    accounting department

    was work ing dil igently

    trying

    to

    resolve

    it. Mayor Watson also

    noted

    there would

    b e a fee the City

    would

    have to p ay to have

    Maumelle Water Management to

    collect the

    debt on the

    CSF.

    Alderman Hogue noted

    th e

    memorial bench

    for

    Wallace Wyeth

    w as

    in and

    th e

    plaque would be in

    soon

    an d

    stated

    donations

    would

    be

    appreciated.

    to hear certain appeals

    the

    enforcement officers and

    requests

    for variances of construction provisions; and,

    WHEREAS,

    th e

    Maumelle

    City

    appointment

    of

    two

    alternates

    to

    the Board; and,

    WHEREAS,
