    PCL ALL-STAR GAME: The Pacific Coast League office announced that Tacoma Rainiers infielders Chris Taylor, Nick Franklin aGabriel Noriega, and pitcher Logan Kensingwill represent the PCL in the 2014 Cree Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 16 Durham, North Carolina. This will be all 4 players first trip to the Triple-A All-Star game, while Taylor and Noriega were was elected to stato for the PCL. This marks the first season since 2001 the Rainiers will feature four players in the annual contest that pits the PCLs beagainst standouts from the International League.Franklin was previously selected as a Midwest League (2010) and Southern Leag(2012) All-Star Games in 2012. Taylor was a California League All-Star last season with High Desert. This is the first All-Star Gamselections for both Noriega and Kensing.

    COACHING STAFF: Roy Howellis the 29th manager in Tacoma franchise history. Howell is in his third season coaching in the Marineorganization after two seasons as the hitting coach at Class-A Advanced High Desert. His managerial resume includes 3 seasons at sho

In 65 games wthe Mavericks, Peterson hit .326 (89x273) with 51 runs scrored, 23 doubles, 1 triple, 18 home runs, 73 RBI, 23 walks and 6 stolen base

    At the time of his promotion, he ranked among the California League leaders in nearly every offensive category, including sluggipercentage (1st/.615), total bases (1st/168), RBI (1st/71), extra-base hits (T1st/42), home runs (2nd/18), doubles (3rd/23), hits (T5th/8and average (6th/.326). Since May 8, Peterson leads all minor league players with 57 RBI, while ranking 2nd with 16 home runs. Petershit 16 of his 18 home runs with High Desert over 37 games (5/11-6/23).     COMPLETION OF GAME FROM JUNE 30: On June 30, the LumberKings and Kernels were suspended in the heading into the top of th10th inning 3-3 and finished the game last night. The LumberKings scored a run in the top of the 11th inning to take a 4-3 lead, but allow2 runs in the bottom of the inning as Clinton fell to Cedar Rapids 4-5. RF Chantz Mack(3x4, R, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI) and 3B Zach Shank(2x4R, 2B, HR, RBI) each recorded multi-hit games for Clinton. Starter Jose Flores (6.0,5,1,1,2,3) allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 6.0 innings, but dnot factor into the decision. RH Rafael Pineda (1.2,5,1,1,0,0), RH Emilio Pagan (1.1,1,1,1,1,3) and LH Nick Valenza (1.1,2,2,1,1combined to allow 4 runs (3 ER) over 4.1 innings in relief. Valenza was charged with the loss after allowing 2 runs (1 ER) recording onlyout in the bottom of the 11th inning.
