Wheatland Electric is looking for a detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator in our Garden City office. This position will ensure the effective and efficient maintenance and repair on assigned fleet and facilities. This position performs periodic maintenance and repair on vehicles and related equipment to ensure safe operations and extended service. A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required. Graduation from a vocational/technical school with specific training in general mechanics, hydraulic and electrical systems and welding experience preferred. Class A Commercial Driver’s License with no restrictions is required. Must have basic computer skills and basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook. The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Should possess the skills necessary to interpret vehicle purchase proposals and have a knowledge of CDL, DOT and MSDS regulations. Must have knowledge of the proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in the basic maintenance of facilities and vehicles, along with the ability to operate heavy machinery such as an overhead hoist, forklift, skid loader, and tractor is required.Finalist will be required to successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background check and driver’s license check.
