 'he -arge -ot and the /oastal and ural 0ettlement ones provide #or residentialdevelopment that is lo" intensity and "hich reects the land characteristicsand&or service constraints o# the location.

 'he 0ingle ouse4 ixed ousing 0uburban4 ixed ousing rban and the 'errace ousing and Apartment Buildings ones are applied in existing and

#uture urban areas and provide #or a variety o# densities. 'he highest density o#development is expected to occur in close proximity to the rapid and #re%uentservice net"ork and "ithin and around centres. *roviding #or gro"th in thismanner and in these locations is not only an e5cient use o# land but it alsoprovides access to public transport #or a greater number o# households andstrengthens the role o# centres.
