The pubic notice of a regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was posted in the U. S. Post Office and the Community Hall on March 14, 2013. The Trustees convened in open and public session at the Community Hall for a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Randall Horst called the meeting

to order. Trustees present were Jim Calvin, Lloyd Searles and Eli Weyerts. Absent: Richard Egging

Chairman Randall Horst announced the Village of Gurley would follow the state man-date for open meet-ings. Declared the Open Meeting Act is posted on the east wall of the Community Hall Meeting Room.

Minutes of the February 25th meeting were read and approved as read.

Motion by Eli Weyerts and seconded by Jim Calvin to approve the Disbursements of $11,096.72 for the month of February. Roll Call: Yea – Jim Calvin, Randall Horst, Lloyd Searles and Eli Weyerts, Nay - None Motion carried.

Motion by Jim Calvin and seconded by Lloyd Searles to approve the March Financial Report as presented. Roll Call: Yea – Jim Calvin, Randall Horst, Lloyd Searles and Eli Weyerts, Nay - None Motion carried.

The Village Clerk Position was discussed. In the topics discussed were: Best time, questions to ask, and how much time to allot each candidate.

The sale of the Gurley Volunteer Fire Department ‘s City Pumper was discussed. The Board by consensus agreed to place the equip-ment on the Lions Club Auction.

Items of Discussion: Insurance and the break down of each Budget Area.
