RPZ Backflow Preventer Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) Backflow Preventers are designed to protect potable water supplies in accordance with plumbing codes and water utility authority requirements. Consult local plumbing codes and or authorities for compliance regulations. Intended to be used in Glacier-Guard and Dari-Chem installations.

Pneumatic Cooler Wash Drain Slide Valve Kit Includes 1-1/2 inch pneumatic cooler wash drain valve, 220V dual action air solenoid, air line and air line fittings. Designed to replace existing water pressure activated diaphragm disc drain valve, or to be used on cooler wash drain manifold kit.

Adapter Assembly, Cooler, Wash Fill Wash/Fill Adapter enables a cooler to be filled with wash water faster by eliminating the flow restrictions which occur with diaphragm operated drain valves.

Weatherstrip Bulkheading Kit

Agitator Weatherproof KitFor all coolers where agitator is exposed to elements due to bulkheading and requires weatherproof seal.

Rear Fill InletsAdditional rear milk fill pipe is available. Specify exact size, location and length of rear fill required special order. Standard rear fill inlets are 3 inch diameter to allow another vent lid to be attached. Vent lid included. Unless specified, rear fill will be installed on center top of cooler, 12 inches in from rear head. Other pipe sizes and/or locations are available upon request.

Drip Shield, DKF Style Tank (2000 gallons or less)Used to shield condensation from entering bulk tank from the 1.5 inch milk pipe.

Rubber Dipstick Handle Cover/SlingerThis rubber slinger is designed to replace the standard stainless steel dipstick handle cover and fits securely over the dipstick handle. This cover will not dislodge from the dipstick handle during the wash cycle, which may be a concern on some coolers.

Milk Drain Valves

Milk Valve PackagesChoose the size required in either standard or New York State approved styles. 3 x 3 inch milk valves are required on coolers 5000 gallons or larger. All valves are duplex-threaded and are sliding plunger, tee-valve style.

Valve/Adapter Kit, 2 x 3 inchUse on 2000-4000 DKF Coolers having three inch drains. Kit allows standard two-inch valve and wash pump package to be used on these coolers. Kit includes a 2 x 2 inch (PN 4013833) milk valve, wash line hanger, 2 x 3 inch eccentric reducer, a 2 inch and 3 inch gasket, 3 inch nut, and a 4.25 inch hex wrench.

Copeland Modular Pump-Down Kits Help maintain proper CIP wash water temperature in the milk cooler by effectively removing liquid refrigerant from the evaporator plates before the compressor shuts down.

Kit include:

• 230 volt solenoid valve mounted after the liquid line filter on the rear of the cooler

• An in-line check valve mounted in the discharge line of the compressor.

Four-Year Extended Compressor WarrantyThe external warranty is available to cover the second through fifth year of the motor compressor only. Read warranty for complete details. Available on all condensing units or replacement compressors.

Five-Year Extended Cooler WarrantyThe extended warranty is available on all new Glacier coolers shipped to North America. The optional warranty extends the original 5-year warranty to 10-years and protects the original purchaser against internal refrigeration leaks.

Temperature Chart RecorderAnderson circular temperature chart recorder, comes factory pre-set for 7-day chart rotation, read-out in °F, 50-foot pre-wired temperature sensor. Recorder comes in a waterproof enclosure, has a built-in LED tempera-ture display and an adjustable high-temperature alarm relay. Kit includes pack of 100 7-day, °F blank charts. The recorder is field adjustable for 24, 48, 72-hour or 7-day chart rotation, °F or °C temperature read-out.

Tri-Clamp Thermo-WellsStainless thermo-wells mount into tri-clamp 2”, 2-1/2” or 3” tees. These smooth bore thermo-wells are designed to accept 3/8” diameter temperature sensors from Anderson circular chart recorders and Glacier-Guards. Use heat transfer compound (PN 4016682) before inserting temperature sensors into thermo-well to improve heat transfer and instrument accuracy.

Chart Calibration–ReplacementReplace lost or damaged calibration charts. When ordering specify cooler size, serial number and units of measure (ie. pounds, liters, kg., stick increment scale; inches or centimeters). This is a special order; contact your Customer Service Representative.

Thermo-Well, Dial ThermometerAllows sanitary in-line installation of a Dial Thermometer into a milk line. Thermo-Well fits a standard 2 in. tri-clamp ferrule.

Thermo-Well, Temperature ProbeAllows in-line installation of a temperature control thermocouple into a water or coolant line. Brass Thermo-Well screws into a 3/4 in. F-NPT pipe fitting, and is designed to accept the temperature probes used on the Honeywell temperature controls.

Tri-Clamp Thermo-WellStainless thermo-well mount into tri-clamp 2 in. tees. This smooth bore thermo-well is designed to accept 3/8 in. diameter temperature sen-sors from Anderson circular chart recorders and Glacier-Guards. Use heat transfer compound (PN4016682) before inserting temperature sen-sor into thermo-well to improve heat transfer and instrument accuracy.

Dari-Kool® Falling Film Chillers

Chillers supply a continuous flow of chilled water to Dari-Kool plate coolers. Provides “instant” cooling of milk before it

enters the bulk tank to help maintain the highest milk quality. Dari-Kool falling film chillers are available in 2 to 6-plate

configurations using the 6-plate cabinet, and in 6 to 12-plate configurations using the 12-plate cabinet. All 6-plate cabinets

are fitted with a 6-plate water distribution trough, and 12-plate cabinets are fitted with two 6-plate troughs, to make

adding additional plates easy and economical.

Water Solenoid ValvesTo be used when well water coolant supply is shut-off with the milk pump to reduce well water usage through the plate cooler. 220/240 VAC.

Timer Delay (Delay-On-Break)For use with water solenoid valves. Adjustable Timer Delay (1-30 seconds) allows well water to cool the milk and plate cooler before shutting off water flow to the plate cooler. This saves unneeded water flow when milk pump is not running.

Cooler Reservoir Partition PlatePartition divider plate allows a 12-plate chiller cabinet to provide two coolant temperatures to dual coolant plate coolers, and maximize compressor capacities. Therma-Stor® Heat Recovery Systems

Design and Application

Capture waste heat energy from your refrigeration system to provide

hot water while allowing your compressor to run more efficiently. Heat

recovery system is a double-walled heat exchanger with water storage

tank that captures lost heat from your cooling system to heat your

water for free. The heated water is then stored in the system until it is

needed. The Therma-Stor® Heat Recovery System is recognized as the

innovative leader in heat recovery technology.

How It Works

In a milk cooling system without a Therma-Stor Heat Recovery System,

the refrigerant removes the heat from the milk being cooled and that

valuable heat escapes into the air. With a Therma-Stor Heat Recovery

System, the refrigerant carrying the heat passes through the double-

walled heat exchanger surrounding the water storage tank and heats

up the water. The Therma-Stor Heat Recovery System also provides

additional condensing surface which improves refrigeration efficiency

because compressor efficiency goes up as condensing temperatures go

down. The end result is faster cooling and prolonged compressor life.

The Therma-Stor Heat Recovery System will reduce compressor run

time, and will cut down on water heating costs by as much as 65%.

Reliable and Adaptable

The industrial glass-lined water storage tank resists corrosion and has two replaceable anodes for extra corrosion

protection. Every new Therma-Stor Heat Recovery System has a five-year limited warranty. This cost-efficient method

of producing hot water fits any milk cooling system, large or small. The Therma-Stor is available in 80 or 120-gallon

capacities. The Therma-Stor II-80 is designed for single

compressor operation. The Therma-Stor II-120 is designed

for one or two compressor operation. The Therma-Stor

III-120 includes a thermostatically controlled 6,000 watt

electric heating element to boost water temperature into

the 170° to 180° range.
