039571 - How to setup the Raw values on an IO Tag.

    Problem

The customer is trying to setup an IO Tag, but it keeps telling him he needs to put in a raw value. He does not know

    what should go in here.

    Product Version: 10.1

    OS: Win XP

    OS_SP: SP2

    Solution

The Raw value and the EU value are both necessary so that InTouch knows whether or not the software needs to scale

the inputs. EU Values are the min and max values that you want displayed on the screen, such as -1000 to +1000. Raw

Values are the min and max values actually comming from the PLC, such as 0 to +20. InTouch then scales the values,

so that if a Raw value of 0 comes in, the screen would display -1000, and if a 10 comes in it would show 0, if a 20 came

in it would show 1000. If the EU and the Raw values should be the same (no scalling needs to be done), then the values

in the InTouch tag should be the same, such as EU -1000 to +1000, and raw -1000 to + 1000.
