COACHING STAFFHead Coach,John HarbaughPro Career: John Harbaugh was hired asthe third head coach in Baltimore Ravenshistory on January 19, 2008. In each ofhis four seasons (2008-2011), theRavens have earned a playoff berth, withBaltimore becoming the only NFL team toreach the postseason every year duringthat span. Impressively, Harbaugh is alsothe only head coach in NFL history (since1970 merger) to win a playoff game ineach of his first four years. All four teamsthat defeated the Ravens eventually repre-sented the AFC in the Super Bowl (2008Pittsburgh, 2009 Indianapolis, 2010Pittsburgh, and 2011 New England). In2011, Baltimore won the AFC North byproducing its second-straight 12-4record, also going undefeated at home forthe first time in team history. In 2008, hisinitial campaign with the team, Baltimoreset an NFL record that season for mosttotal wins (13) by a team with both arookie head coach and a rookie startingquarterback (Joe Flacco). Harbaugh spenthis first 10 NFL seasons (1998-2007)with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was theteam’s secondary coach in 2007, afternine seasons as its special teams coordi-nator. Following the 2001 campaign, hewas voted the NFL’s Special Teams Coachof the Year by his coaching peers.Harbaugh was also named The DallasMorning News Special Teams Coach ofthe Year that season. Career record: 49-24.Background: Played defensive back atMiami (Ohio) from 1980-83, earneddegree in political science. Coached colle-giately at Western Michigan (1984-86),Pittsburgh (1987), Morehead State(1988), Cincinnati (1989-1996), andIndiana (1997).Personal: Born in Perrysburg, Ohio onSeptember 23, 1962, Harbaugh and hiswife, Ingrid, have a daughter, Alison.
