MANUFACTURED METAL BICYCLE BOLLARDS

Use bicycle bollards as stand-alone landscape accents or design features for new and existing buildings, and as decorative covers over steel security posts.

preconsumer recycled content not less than 25 percent.4. Powder-Coat Finish: AAMA 2603 except with a minimum dry film thickness of 1.5

mils. Comply with coating manufacturer's written instructions for cleaning, conversion coating, and applying and baking finish.

B. Fabricate connections that will be exposed to weather in a manner to exclude water. Provide weep holes where water may accumulate.

C. Provide inserts and other anchorage devices for connecting bollards to concrete or masonry work.

D. Protect finishes on exposed surfaces from damage before shipping.

E. Provide exposed [fasteners ][fastener caps][accessories]with finish matching appearance, including color and texture, of bicycle bollards.

PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.1 EXAMINATION

A. Examine paving or other substrates for compliance with manufacturer’s requirements for placement and location of embedded items, condition of substrate, and other conditions affecting installation of bollards.

B. Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.

3.2 INSTALLATION

A. General: Comply with manufacturer’s installation requirements and setting drawings.

B. Install according to manufacturer's written instructions by [cast-in-place mounting anchor method][epoxy-set threaded rod method][concrete insert method][sleeve method].

C. Damaged, cracked, chipped, deformed or marred bicycle bollards are not acceptable. Field touch-up minor imperfections in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.

3.3 CLEANING

A. Immediately prior to Substantial Completion, clean bicycle bollards in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions to remove dust, dirt, adhesives, and other foreign materials.

3.4 PROTECTION

A. Protect bicycle bollards against damage.
