We normally think of missions as across the sea. And that is definitely a big part of missions, to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. But missions is also across the street, what we call local missions. We partner in prayer and financially with the work overseas, and we have some families who have gone from our church to serve as missionar- ies. But for most of us the opportunity to serve and take the gospel to people is right here in San Angelo. That is why for our Missions Sunday, March 23, we are featuring local missions. During the combined Sunday school hour you will hear from representatives from different local ministries like U-Turn for Christ, Pregnancy Help Center, Boys' & Girls' Clubs, and others. We want to encourage every Sunday school class and every BodyLife Home group to adopt and partner with one of these ministries. We are designating every fifth Sunday as Local Missions Sunday where Sunday school classes and BodyLife Home groups will volunteer with and help the ministry with which they are partnering instead of meeting in the homes. We will start this the first fifth Sunday of this year on March 30. Every one of us has a part to play. God wants to use us here in San Angelo. We already have people involved in some of these ministries, like the Pregnancy Help Center, Volunteer Pro- grams at the hospitals, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children) and we part- ner on a regular basis with Boys' & Girls' Clubs of San Angelo. But we want to maximize our participation as a church through our Sunday school and the BodyLife Home groups adopt- ing/partnering with these ministries. You have been faithful to give financially to missions across the seas. And hopefully faithful in praying for our partners. I am asking all of us to share Christ with the people across the street. Right here in San Angelo. Lakan

F ROM THE P ASTOR :

Across the Street. We normally think of missions as across the sea. And that is definitely

a big part of missions, to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. But missions is also across the street, what we call local missions. We partner in prayer and financially with the work overseas, and we have some families who have gone from our church to serve as missionar-

ies. But for most of us the opportunity to serve and take the gospel to people is right here in San Angelo.

That is why for our Missions Sunday, March 23, we are featuring local missions. During

the combined Sunday school hour you will hear from representatives from different local ministries like U-Turn for Christ, Pregnancy Help Center, Boys' & Girls' Clubs, and others. We want to encourage every Sunday school class and every BodyLife Home group to adopt and

partner with one of these ministries.

We are designating every fifth Sunday as Local Missions Sunday where Sunday school classes and BodyLife Home groups will volunteer with and help the ministry with which they are partnering instead of meeting in the homes. We will start this the first fifth Sunday of this

year on March 30.

Every one of us has a part to play. God wants to use us here in San Angelo. We already have people involved in some of these ministries, like the Pregnancy Help Center, Volunteer Pro-

grams at the hospitals, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children) and we part-ner on a regular basis with Boys' & Girls' Clubs of San Angelo. But we want to maximize our participation as a church through our Sunday school and the BodyLife Home groups adopt-

ing/partnering with these ministries.

You have been faithful to give financially to missions across the seas. And hopefully faithful in praying for our partners. I am asking all of us to share Christ with the people across the

street. Right here in San Angelo.
