Ref: Your email enquiry dated 08/04/11 Dear Sir, As you are aware we are the manufacturer of Test & Measuring Instruments having manufacturing facility at Pune. Our products are mainly used by Power Utilities in their Generation, Transmission & Distribution Divisions. These are indigenously designed by our R&D Department and are import substitute. We are supplying our products regularly to all major customers like SEBs, POWER GRID, NTPC, NHPC, NPC, BBMB, ENRON, TATA Power, Indian Railways and various OEMs like ABB, BHEL, CGL, ALSTOM, SIEMENS, TELK, JYOTI etc. for past 24 years. Leakage Current Analyser for Surge Arrestor, Model SA 30i: It is a State of the Art, Simple, Lightweight, Portable system for Residual life Assessment of Lightning Arrestors under the hostile electrostatic noise found in live EHV switchyard. The instrument measures and directly displays the values of resistive and total leakage current as per IEC 60099-5. Trend analysis software enables the decision to replace the LA considering safety limits. It measures resistive current with 3
rd Harmonic and system harmonic compensation method. In built
temperature measurement facility and enables calculation of temperature compensated leakage currents. Results are displayed on LCD, printed on thermal printer and can be stored in the in-built memory of the instrument. Other feature includes In-built Rechargeable Battery & built-in Standard Calibration verification source. PC connectivity is provided for test set up & data download through Windows based software. Transformer Winding Resistance Meter, TRM 104: A 4½ digit Transformer Winding Resistance Meter to measure the winding resistance as well as current of large inductive windings like HV/EHV transformers, large rotating machines etc. The innovative, portable design of this meter enables the on - site measurements of these resistances at good accuracy and repeatability. The open circuit voltage of 30V DC ensures quick stabilisation of the reading. It provides different current ranges from 100mA to 10A to cover the measurement from 0.1μΩ to 199.99Ω. It has 2 channels, which enable measurement of resistance as well as current of two windings simultaneously. Any discontinuity in OLTC while changing tap position is also indicated. The meter incorporates special circuitry to protect itself from back emf of large transformers. SA LEAKAGE CURRENT METER FOR SURGE 30i ARRESTERS
SA 30i the leakage current meter from SCOPE is a State of the Art on-line test system for Residual Life Assessment of Surge Arresters. The instrument measures and directly displays the values of resistive and total leakage current.
The SA 30i can be pre-loaded with the identity (Asset number, make, year, Serial number etc.) and tests conducted on the same ID of the Arresters are saved under its own folder. A trend analysis software, SAdata picks up this data and files them in a similar fashion on a PC. This analysis software enables the user to take a decision to repair/replace the arresters considering safety limits.
SA 30i is designed to work under the hostile electrostatic noise found in live EHV switchyards.
A special low-noise clamp-on CT is used to read leakage current
in the earthing conductor of the Arrester. The field probe is a
non-contact, remote sensing device employed to take the
reference signal from the HV line to the Arrester, for
measurement of phase and system harmonics.
rdThe SA 30i measures 3 harmonic resistive and total leakage
current by compensating the harmonics present in the system
as per IEC 60099-5 B2 or without system harmonic
compensation as per IEC 60099-5 B1

The TRM104 is a portable winding resistance meter, designed to work in live EHV switchyards.Winding resistance values of large transformers upto 500 MVA and rotating machines are directly displayed.
The meter contains a special power source for rapid stabilisation of test results.It is possible to measure the resistance of two windings simultaneously.
A backlit 4 line LCD with a user-friendly menu sets up the instrument for the test. Winding resistances and safety messages are also shown on this display.
THE INSTRUMENTA 30V DC, 10 Amp power source, controlled strategically by digital means passes the selected current through the windings.Precision instrumentation amplifiers read voltage developed across the windings and the ohmic values are directly displayed.Use of the classical Kelvin's 4-wire method ensures reliable measurement. Specially designed thermal management ofpower source enables measurement over longer periods, when delta connected generator transformers are tested. The TRM is capable of identifying the interruption of injected current during tap change of OLTC.A beeper alarm during current injection ensures operator safety during measurement.
The meter is protected against the back emf offered by large inductive windings.
