AAstondoa ha creado el Century 110 GLX en homenaje a un siglo de
la construcción naval de gran reputación, con la mejor calidad
artesana y una personalización excepcional. Los yates de hoy son el
logro de tres generaciones de la familia Astondoa.Si bien es cierto
que Astondoa ha construido barcos per-sonalizados que van de los 40
a los 200 pies durante este siglo de historia, también lo es que
con este yate hacen una declaración de principios para una nueva
etapa re-novada muy adaptada al yate de hoy. Se trata de un bar-co
muy manejable con características de los megayates, construido para
grandes grupos de invitados, ya sean fa-milia como amigos; quienes
quieran experimentar el aire libre, con soláriums ajustables en la
proa y la popa, cubier-tas de teca y todo lo que se necesita para
hacer vida en el exterior; pero también con un fl y que da la
oportunidad de navegar en cualquier condición climática.

Astondoa destaca por un nivel de personalización total, haciendo
que cada barco sea diferente al resto.
La tecnología a bordo no falta, como el techo eléctrico que se
retrae con sólo pulsar un botón. El llamado “Sky Lounge” permite
reunirse en un ambiente excepcional, convirtiéndose en el centro de
una fiesta en alta mar o en el puerto.La cocina al aire libre está
destinada a un uso habitual más que en el interior, ya que la
parrilla de barbacoa, el bar y la zona de comedor al aire libre
ofrecen muchas posibilida-des durante todo el día y la noche,
disfrutando del cielo o de la barra de bar.Dos motos de agua de 3
plazas se guardan debajo de la cubierta; además, en el garaje de
popa se estiba un tender Williams para acercarse a cualquier orilla
inaccesible con el yate. Desde la plataforma de baño se tiene fácil
acceso a la cubierta de popa, donde se ubica un comedor y un
so-lárium. Socializar el ambiente es el objetivo del Astondoa 110
Century; en el que se ha tenido en cuenta detalles tan óptimos como
la colocación de 16 neveras repartidas por todo el barco, tanto en
lugares exteriores, como en inte-riores y en cada camarote. Y es

es una constante demanda de los armadores. La cocina está
situada en el centro, por lo que un refrigerio por la noche o
temprano por la mañana es fácilmente accesible a todos, tripulación
e invitados por igual. La tripulación dispone de camarotes amplios
para seis, junto a la sala de máquinas, en la que se albergan dos
motores MTU 16V 2000 M84, que permiten al barco desplazarse a una
ve-locidad máxima de 24 nudos, o a un régimen de crucero de 20
nudos. Cabe la opción de instalar dos Motores M93 también. Los
interiores fueron obra de Cristiano Gatto en conjunto con el
departamento de diseño de Astondoa, pero total-mente personalizados
para el armador.Gatto, que ha trabajado con Astondoa durante 15
años, ha llamado a este barco, “robusto, pero sexy y deportivo.”
Fue diseñado para ser limpio, ordenado, moderno y, sobre todo, de
fácil mantenimiento. Dispone de una visión atemporal, con elementos
de ma-dera de roble con textura de café y motivos exóticos, que se
complementan con vidrio y acero inoxidable pulido. “El propietario

no en un apartamento de Nueva York,” explica Gatto.Gatto utiliza
ricas texturas que se pueden tocar, para con-trastar con elementos
de alta tecnología. Los colores van desde los blancos a los beige o
el negro del cuero de las paredes. La iluminación LED reproduce en
las claraboyas del salón el cielo con muchos focos de
iluminación.Un televisor de pantalla grande se transforma en una
pa-red de vidrio negro que gracias a Mastervolt puede ser visto
como una pintura, un televisor o una separación en-tre la zona de
comedor de 12 plazas y un salón donde los grandes sofás y mesas de
café ofrecen cómodas salas de estar.La suite principal, con ancho
de manga totalmente apro-vechado, se encuentra en proa de la
cubierta principal, con vistas panorámicas. Los muebles tienen
capacidad para dos armarios llenos de ropa, un vestidor, 64 pares
de zapatos y accesorios; un escritorio / tocador y ofrece más
comodidades para el hogar en el mar.A continuación, otros cuatro
camarotes y dos de matrimo-nio y dos individuales, con baños en la
habitación son de lujo y una suite de tamaño considerable agrega un
aloja-miento confortable para todos. Todas las suites tienen
es-pacio de almacenamiento y neveras, así como electrónica de
entretenimiento.

Astondoa has created the Century 110 GLX to pay homage to one
hundred years of successful naval construction character-ized by
hand-crafted quality and unprecedented customisation. Today’s
vessels are the result of the achievements of three generations of
the Aston-doa family.While it is true that for one century Astondoa
has built personalized boats ranging from 40 to 200 feet, it is
also true that with this yacht the yard is starting a new phase
adapting to current trends. A very manageable vessel boasting the
characteris-tic features of a maxi yacht, it is designed for large
groups, either family or friends. The yacht features adjustable sun
decks both aft and forward, teak decks and all that one might need
to enjoy out-door living. Additionally, the flybridge allows to
sail under any weather condition.The yacht boasts many
technological features, such as the electric roof that can be
activated by simply pushing a button. The so-called ‘Sky Lounge’ is
the ideal place to gather, becoming the hot spot of parties held at
sea or at port.The open-air galley is designed for every-day use,
featuring a barbecue, a bar and a dinette that al-low to
comfortably have lunch or dinner under the open sky.Two 3-seat
jetskies are stored below deck, while a Williams tender, ideal to
reach the coast, is stored in the aft garage.From the swimming
platform guests can easily ac-cess the aft deck where a dinette and
sun deck are located. Socializing is one of the leitmotivs aboard
the Astondoa 110 Century. Paying attention to the smallest details,
16 fridges have been fitted throughout, both in outdoor and
interior areas, as well as in each cabin; as cold drink facilities
are one of the main requirements among boat owners.The galley is
located in the centre of the yacht allowing everyone, guests and
crew alike, to eas-ily have a late night or early morning snack.

crew’s spacious cabins accommodate six close to the engine room,
which features two 16V 2000 M84 MTU engines that allow the boat to
reach a maximum speed of 24 knots and a 20-knot cruis-ing speed.
There is also the possibility to fit two M93 engines. Interior
design is the work of Cristiano Gatto in collaboration with
Astondoa’s interior design department, but fully customized to the
owner’s choosing.Gatto, who has worked for Astondoa over the last
15 years, describes the vessel as “a strong but seductive, sporty
yacht”. It was designed as a clean, tidy, modern and, above all,
easy to main-tain yacht. It boasts a timeless style, featuring oak
wood el-ements with coffee like texture and exotic motifs combined
with glass and polished stainless steel surfaces. “The owner wanted
guests to feel as if they were on a yacht and not in a New York
apart-ment” explains Gatto.To contrast high-tech elements Gatto
uses rich textures throughout. He also creates contrast with
colours, which range from white-beige to the black of the
leather walls. The interior is filled with LED spotlights that
reflect on the numerous sky-lights recreating the night
firmament.Thanks to Mastervolt technology, a large black glass wall
can turn into a large television screen, a painting or a separation
between the dining room, which can accommodate 12, and the living
room furnished with large comfortable sofas and coffee tables.The
full-beam master suite is located forward on the main deck and
boasts panoramic views. It fea-tures two cabinets with walk-in
wardrobe, room for 64 pairs of shoes and accessories, in addition
to a desk / vanity set and many more comforts to feel just like at
home.Additionally, the yacht features four luxurious cabins, two
double and two single, with en-suite facilities and a large suite
to comfortably accom-modate all. The suites feature plenty of
storage space, a fridge and all sorts of electronic entertain-ment
equipment.
