In May, I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with my B.S. in Environmental

Sustainability, Health and Safety. In 20xx, I was recognized for outstanding achievement in the

environmental sciences when I was on Dean’s List all four years. As a member of the Student

Environmental Action League, I spearheaded an Electronic Waste Collection on campus.

Through my co-op with the California State Soil Conservation Service, I was able to apply what I had

learned in my studies, including environmental science, environmental laws, regulations and the

appropriate technologies for protecting air, water and land resources. In this position, I was exposed to all

aspects of applied soil science. I provided technical assistance primarily to farmers and ranchers to

promote the conservation of soil, water, and related natural resources. Equally important, I helped to

develop programs to combat soil erosion and maximize land productivity without damaging the

environment.
