Council Motoring Clubs- reqkuest for issues of News Bulletins to be distributed to Members somehow. Council Motoring Clubs- Emails to Clubs re Primary Contact, or Delegates. Explained how to be distributed. Council of Motoring Clubs.- re imports of Historic Buses and Heavy vehicles. Hills Billy Cart Festival, Mt Helena, Sun 28 Oct. has advised that it is more than just hill billy cart runs, they would welcome display of cars in the street, and attendance at the markets and other vintage collection displays. Farmers Markets Northam will be recommencing shortly and E Bliss has advised that vintage car owners are invited to display their vintage vehicles.

Reports: Shed Report : All is good. The Oxford is up to date, and the Sprite is now running smoothly They have both been taken out on display and more runs for them are planned.
Events: Bindoon Historic Vehicle Day: Sun 16 Sept. 9a-4p Bindoon Oval. This was attended by a few Members & as the Newsletter reports a most enjoyable day. Coolgardie Day Celebrations: Sun 16 Sept. from 9.30am: Our ‘go every where’ Member Arthur was seen going to Coolgardie and seen returning home on the Monday. He certainly always enjoys his home town. Toodyay Agric.Show- Sat 6 Oct. 2018. 9a-4p. Our position, Parker Cottages same as last year was finally reached and a good day followed. Photos & report to follow. Classic Touring: Mon. 15 to Sat. 20 Oct. accommodation - Atrium Hotel, Daily runs from Mandurah. As this event is only just finishing, no report to hand as yet. Moondyne Festival, Toodyay- 5 May 2019. Enjoyable street festival re Moondyne Joe & his escapades. Kite Art Environmental Festival- proposed for Sun. 26th May 2019 Lake Perkolilli-Red Dust Revival 2019: 12-16 Sept. 25k from Kalgoorlie, ‘bare bones’ camping Aust.Hist.Motor.Feder. 2020 National Motoring Tour- 28Mar-4April- 2020 Aubury/Wodonga. Swapmeet – .All the bookings would be done shortly, St Johns, Toilets, Waste Bins, and confirming of the Food and Coffee suppliers. Bronwyn advised that the option of the Eventbrite system for pre-booking stall bays @ swapmeet should work to our advantage with changing laws and times. We need to limit the number of pre-bookings, leaving bays available for others who arrive on the day as not all are users of the internet/online system. Also the system can govern that the details have to be printed out and handed in at the gate, or no entry. Info papers can still be given at the entry gate as per last year, but will be picked up. A person with a ‘unique’ car made up as coffee outlet has been advised no other coffee outlet is allowed. Moved: Rob Bell…. Secnd: Theo Bekkers…. New Members: Linda and Craig Costello of Northam, with a 1964 Cobra Replica. They addressed the Members. Now they have settled in Northam it was their intention to pursue a passion with vintage cars and attend meetings and events where possible within their work parameters. WELCOME to our Club…… Linda and Craig Costello General Business: * Newsletters: The last few months the arrival of posted newsletters has slowed by a few days. For instance the outlets for posting at Northam have changed, e.g. no longer a ‘local Northam’ outlet. A trial showed that a newsletter posted in Northam did not reach its designated address until 6 days later. Looking at the 3 options available, it was decided to trial posting the newsletters at least a week earlier. *Cunderdin Men’s Shed: Prior to the Car and Hot Rod Show, we were welcomed to the Cunderdin Mens Shed. This was an excellent venue to hold our October meeting and was especially enhanced with a morning tea. A resounding ‘Thank You’ was given to the Cunderdin Mens Shed and the Ladies who supplied the home made goodies. There being no further business, the President closed the meeting at 10.55am.

AVVVA 2018 Christmas Lunch
Sunday 25th November 2018 Historic Slater Homestead Goomalling Traditional Christmas lunch includes Roast Turkey and Ham, oven roasted potato and pumpkin, julienne carrots, cauliflower cheese, greens and gravy, with homemade Christmas pudding served with brandy sauce and cream. ( We can have an alternative sweet of fresh fruit salad for those who are gluten intolerant ) Fruit punch and iced water will be available, with tea and coffee to conclude the meal. The venue is BYO with wineglasses available.
