And so it continues, another load of hay arriving last Wednesday, with most of it already allocated to needy farmers. This hay has been sourced once again by the Rotary Club of Hastings/Westernport, we have paid for the load plus the cartage.
Rex, Bonnie and John have all left for well deserved holidays and Rex have left his hay “black book” with Gillian so hopefully all will go well while he away in far north Western Australia.

Trivia Question (Answer correctly to avoid a gold coin fine)
What was the highest executive position within Whitehorse Rotaract that Michelle Worsley attained?
As you will have seen in the bulletin, we are having a joint meeting with all the other clubs in our cluster, on the visit of DG Adrian Froggatt. This will be at the Bellevue, Lakes Entrance, Sunday 4 August, 12.00 for 12.30pm, cost $30.00 per head (catering by Albert & Co), drinks at bar prices.
This meeting will replace our normal meeting on Tuesday 6 August and partners are welcome to attend, so please make the effort to meet our new DG and interact with Rotarians from the other clubs in our area.
Numbers need to be confirmed before Monday 29 July, so an attendance sheet will be circulated at our meeting this week. A warning that if you confirm and then do not attend you may still be asked to pay the cost of the meal.
DG VISIT TO EAST GIPPSLAND CLUSTER CLUBS
The Rotary Club of Latitude 38 will have an online speaker, Dr Stephanie E Urchick talking about “Transforming Rotary’s future through strategic change”. Those of us who attended the Multi District Conference in Melbourne heard her talk then and she was interesting as well as entertaining.
Gillian has booked the meeting which will be shown on the big screen at her house, 46 Francis Street, Monday 29 July, starting at 7.00pm.
Come along, enjoy an interesting talk together with fellowship, BYO drinks and if you are lucky there may be nibbles available. Let Gillian know if you are attending [email protected]
ONLINE MEETING Our newest member Michelle Worsley will be participating in the World’s Greatest
Shave, aka ‘Shave for a Cure’, and would immensely appreciate your support!
In Michelle’s own words “My mop has been growing for a solid two and a half years and it’s only a matter of time before it all comes off (more specifically, will be going for a no. 1 cut), and I’ve now got a date scheduled for the big chop!”
When: Saturday 31st August 2019 - 10:30am Where: Hair Studio 126 (126 Nicholson St, Bairnsdale)
All funds go to supporting the Leukemia Foundation which helps with treatment, research and support people and their families who are impacted by blood cancer.
To support this cause (which is awesome), you can do either of the following:
1. Donate via EFTPOS through Michelle Worsley’s fundraising page here: https://secure.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/registrant/FundraisingPage.aspx?RegistrationID=761124
2. Turn up to the big shave day, either for moral support and/or donate by cash on the day.
Feel free to share this among your networks, friends, family, enemies, etc to
spread the word All are invited to come along for the occasion.
