Terms to Know!
• Army Civilian Resume Builder: web tool that anyone can use to create, edit, and submit a resume to the Centralized Resumix Database.
• Centralized Resumix Database: where an applicant’s resume is filed for consideration for Resumix announcements
• Self Nomination: process for an applicant to express an interest in a specific vacancy announcement
• ANSWER: (Applicant Notification System Web-Enabled Response); the place where applicants can view their resumes, supplemental data, and status of self-nominations

(CPOC personnel cannot access your
resume in the Resume Builder.)
The CPOCs use this Database to issue referral lists for the 6
regions identified above. (Korea and Pacific CPOCs have separate databases, but will migrate to the
Cental Database later.)

you can view in ANSWER!

STEPS TO RECEIVE RESUMIX CONSIDERATION
• STEP 1 - Prepare a resume using Resume Builder and submit it (applicant)
• STEP 2 - Watch for announcements on Army’S CPOL web site. If interested, submit a self–nomination (applicant)
• STEP 3 - Referral Process (CPOC)
• STEP 4 - Use ANSWER to get feedback (applicant)

• Create your Resume using the Resume Builder and SAVE it to the Resume Builder Database
• Submit your resume to a CPOC - there are 6 CPOC’s currently utilizing the Centralized Resumix Database

BEFORE YOU GET STARTEDAPPLICANT TIPS
1. COLLECT BACKGROUND INFORMATION FOR YOUR RESUME a. Position Descriptions of your current or past jobs b. A copy of your previous applications (612, 171, Easy ACCES Resume, or resume) c. Performance plans and performance evaluations d. List of Completed Education and Training e. List of special projects, accomplishments, or special awards f. Electronic copy of latest resume (if available).

5 Functions• Create New Resume: for the applicant who has never inputted a resume into the Resume Builder
• Edit Existing Resume: for the applicant who has started or created a resume and needs to update his/her resume
• Display Existing Resume: for the applicant to look at what his/her resume will look like
• Send Out Existing Resume: for the applicant to SEND OUT his/her resume to a CPOC (REQUIRED ACTION)

Accessing TIP Request
• TIP Request can be accessed from the subject index on the AMCOM intranet home page (https://intranet2.redstone.army.mil) or by using the web address: (tips.redstone.army.mil).
• If you already have a login name and password, enter them and select LOG IN. If you don’t have a login name and password, select NEW USER and fill out and save the request form. CIC will email your login name and password to you.

Filling Out a TIP Request for Resume Training
• After logging into TIP Request select “Catalog” from the menu on the left side of the screen.
• Enter Resume Builder Hands On Training in the course title field.
• Select “Continue.”
• On the next screen click once on the catalog number RBHOT.
• On the next screen highlight the schedule you want and select “Request.”
• Complete the next two screens and save.

*To be considered for a Resumix announcement, you must have your resume on file in the Resumix Database and you must submit a self-nomination. Both of these steps must be completed by midnight of the closing date!

announcement on the Army Vacancy Announcement website.)
