The awareness services allows you to set up a personal profile which let you:

Many databases have services which help you stay up-to-date in your field or alert you to new publications of interest .

Most alert services are sent as emails.

Different Kinds of Alert Services

A Table of Contents (TOC) service sends you the table of contents each time a new issue of a journal is published.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Alerts are available from some vendors. They may be TOC alerts or something else entirely depending on the vendor.

A search alert notifies you of new articles that match a search you have saved. This can alert you to new articles in a given subject area, by a certain author, or containing specific keywords.

A citation alert notifies you when new publications cite a particular work.

Therefore, ISC CAS provides an alert system in order to notify you by e-mail whenever a new article or a new issue of the desired journal is added to ISC database and also whenever a new article cites a particular document.

There are three icons on top of the page in which full information of the desired

record is shown.

You will receive an e-mail alert each time an article on the list is cited by a new

article. So it notifies you when new publications cite this particular work.

You can use it to create alerts for citations to specific

articles.

The article that you find it worthy and useful will be added to your profile.

If you consider the journal that published the article useful and related to your field, you can add it to your journal list on your personal profile.

By adding the title of this journal to your profile whenever a new issue of the journal is added to the ISC databases, it will be sent to your email address.
