Annual Report 2015-16

MESSAGE FROM HONORARY SECRETARY

I am happy to present this Annual Report 2015-16 of Power HR Forum. Power HR Forum was formalized in May 2005 and in last 10 years, it has provided a platform for networking, sharing, disseminating expertise and best practices etc. in Indian Power Sector. It has offered many national and international training programmes for employees of member organization. Forum is progressing steadily with its vision “Serving Indian Power Sector through Excellence in HR”.

During the year, Forum organized a number of training programmes to enhance the capability of employees viz ‘PCMM’, ‘ROTI (training Evaluation)’ etc. These programmes were well received and appreciated by the participants. Also Forum conducted many tailor made programmes for member organizations. The overseas programme “Corporate Management for Indian Power Industry at Japan again earned appreciation. It provided participants an international perspective. In addition to classroom training sessions by reputed faculties, there were visits to power utilities which was the prime attraction of this programme. The annual competitions that were conducted by Forum are Business Simulation Game: enterPRIZE and Quest for Excellence [Q4E], where our young employees show cased their talent through these platforms. Through Q4E, we collected valuable inputs for making our organizations – a great organization. Like previous years, Forum brought out a number of compendiums; one of them is Training policy of member organization and the other is based on cases of Q4E- 2014, on the theme of Values, Ethics and Morale. We look forward to many more initiatives in the time to come! (Avinash Kumar) General Manager (HR), NHPC & Honorary Secretary
