Project Purpose Comply with Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Republic
Ensure that the Project meets all contractual, legal and other environmental
requirements including industry codes of practice
Incorporate requirements of the Project Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) into
the Environmental Management System for the Project
Comply with the relevant requirements of the Project Planning Approval
Provide Yashil personnel with systems, procedures and documentation necessary to
undertake the construction of this Project with environmental requirements and to
minimise the impact on the natural environment
Background and Strategic Context The Project designed to provide a link between Fakhraddin Baghirov’s Corporate
Environmental Management System (FBCEMS), the Project’s Environmental
Management System and Yashil’s Environmental system.

Development consists of the construction of the following new buildings: Operations Building
Maintenance Building
Single Storey Security Gate House & Labour Office (LO) building.
Single Storey Drivers Amenity building
Single Storey Rail Depot Building
In ScopeThe Project Specific Environmental Management Plan is to be read in accordance
with the Yashil Construction Environmental Management Manual, Site Management
Plan and Site Safety Plan.
The overall format and content of these plans has been structured to fully meet the
requirements of AZ/BAKU ISO 3166:2001 Environmental Management Systems.
Out of Scope (Exclusions)All civil works including all rail and road infrastructure, the provision of the main
water supply, storm water and sewerage services to the Baku Port project are to be
carried out by Fakhraddin Baghirov’s Corporate Environmental Management System
(FBCEMS).
