social circle

the social circle is a huge factor in our lives first in the education factor also in our everyday life. this is because the people we spend most of our time with will be a huge factor on building our characteristic this can also tamper our previous characteristics because of the influence that they give to us.example: a boy who hates going to parties and drinking moves schools and hangs out with the people who like to drink and go to parties. because of this he gets influenced by these people.for example in the words we say to elders and to people our ageelders: Hello, how are you? Do you know where the bathroom is located?other: HEEY WAZZZAAAP?!?!?! WHERE THE HELL IS THE TOILET???the language we use is different when we talk to elders and people our age

Hypebeast In this era a lot of people wear clothes that are not even clothes. this era usually only wear clothes that are “in” or trendy that’s what people used to call it now people call it “hype”. what people usually do after the “hype” is dead is they sell their items and buy the next “hype” thing. the clothes itself is considered “hype” if famous people or influencers wear it. and not all high end brands is considered a hype brand. the hype clothing itself has no signature because again it’s the trendy clothes that influencers wear and people these hypebeast want to wear to feel like their as cool as these influencers. for example brands like supreme, bape, offwhite, a cold wall, 424, fear of god, vlone, and other brands. this also affects the price of these items. it can go as far as from a $100 shoe into a $4000 shoe. again this is based on the hype and rarity of the item. right now influencers that is trendy or making the so called Hypebeast go crazy are Virgil Abloh, Travis Scott, and also KAnye west. but this doesn’t mean that other influencers don’t have a huge effect on the so called Hypebeast people but just not as much as they do.

What makes a good commentary?

While no two commentaries on a text should be the same and while each should reflect the student’s own interpretation and ‘take’ on the text, there are key skills that everyone should apply, as indicated by the success criteria on page 6.

Now read this task and the passage that follows it:

1 The passage below describes the writer’s experience in Burma when he was serving as a police officer at a time when the British ruled the country. He has been ordered to deal with a possible threat posed by an elephant. (a) Comment on the style and language of the passage.

The writers used first point of view to retell the story above.. Describing one by one accident clearly to make it detail and dramatic. There’s some new vocabulary founded, such as squeamish.

Gender bias

Justin Saleslady or Salesman

Salesman is usually a man that can sell anything and everything and he can promote the things he is selling. but a saleslady is defined as a sales Clerks which is an assistant that helps the salesman to sell the object so in a way it looks down or a saleslady is lower than a salesman

Jason is a salesman now he can do sell anything you want just tell him

I have so much stuff to sell.just give it to the sales lady she’ll do it.

So the word is discriminating the saleslady because they think it's lower than a salesman

Page 11: justinsoendaroe.files.wordpress.com  · Web viewSo the word is discriminating the saleslady because they think it's lower than a salesman . Some lives are so vivid, it is difficult

Some lives are so vivid, it is difficult to imagine them ended; some voices are so vibrant and distinctive, it is hard to think of them stilled. A man who seldom rested is laid to rest and his absence is tangible, like the silence after a mighty roar.

The thing about John's life was the amazing sweep of it—from a tiny prison cell in Vietnam to the floor of the United States Senate; from troublemaking plebe to presidential candidate. Wherever John passed throughout the world, people immediately knew there was a leader in their midst. In one epic life was written the courage and greatness of our country.

For John and me, there was a personal journey—a hard-fought political history. Back in the day, he could frustrate me and I know he'd say the same thing about me, but he also made me better. In recent years, we sometimes talked of that intense period like football players remembering a big game. In the process, rivalry melted away. In the end, I got to enjoy one of life's great gifts: the friendship of John McCain and I'll miss it.

Moments before my last debate ever with Senator John Kerry in Phoenix, I was trying to gather some thoughts in the holding room. I felt a presence, opened my eyes, and six inches from my face was McCain who yelled, “Relax, relax!”

John was, above all, a man with a code. He lived by a set of public virtues that brought strength and purpose to his life and to his country. He was courageous, with a courage that frightened his captors, and inspired his countrymen. He was honest, no matter whom it offended. Presidents were not spared. He was honorable, always recognizing that his opponents were still patriots and human beings. He loved freedom with a passion of a man who knew its absence. He respected the dignity inherent in every life, a dignity that does not stop at borders and cannot be erased by dictators.

Perhaps above all, John detested the abuse of power. He could not abide bigots and swaggering despots. There was something deep inside him that made him stand up for the little guy, to speak for forgotten people in forgotten places. One friend from his Naval Academy days recalled how John, while a lowly plebe, reacted to seeing an upperclassman verbally abuse a steward. Against all tradition, he told the jerk to pick on someone his own size. It was a familiar refrain during his six decades of service.

“I’m a strong believer of people I know that people make mistakes and people can change”

By: Justin Rahman Soendaroe

November 2018

I’ve known him since 2012. At first I saw him as a “bule” friend he was like me, but I wasn’t a “bule” I just spoke the language that he spoke. As time passed by we became closer and he perceived all of the people in the school as what he wanted them to think he was. He said all of these things so people would think he is a popular rich boy. But after I went to his house and saw his home I saw that he was a normal humble boy. At first I was confused but I didn’t think of it. I saw that he can be humble and he can also be boujee. But after a while I found out that all of the things he said was lies and I don’t know which was actually true.

This is when it all started. When I found out I was pissed, I was mad, but I was more confused because I considered him as a best friend I was confused why he didn’t tell me these things. I am a strong believer of people I believe that people make mistakes and they can change. So I gave him so many chances and he broke them all until now. There was I point in my life that he broke every promise he made towards me and lied countless times and I lost all the trust. He didn’t come to school he just wasn’t there. When he came back it felt like he was a new kid that we hated. But at one point I came back just to listen to him because nobody wanted to I didn’t do it because I was pity but I did it because nobody wanted to start.

Page 15: justinsoendaroe.files.wordpress.com  · Web viewSo the word is discriminating the saleslady because they think it's lower than a salesman . Some lives are so vivid, it is difficult

After listening to all the things he said and when he did I didn’t believe anything that he said I felt pity because we had something a bound that we were best friends at one point. So after he started to tell me actually who he was what was bullshit I snapped and he froze. After that day I begin to see he was changing I didn’t know what I did to led him to change for the better but he did. It took a while for me to open up again towards him because I was traumatizing. Everything he did in the past still bothers me so I wasn’t as open as I was. But as time went by I saw he was changing drastically. He talked less he didn’t make promises anymore he was just different. Again I’m a strong believer of people I know that people make mistakes and people can change. Because he was changing in this way I start to think maybe I can trust him again maybe we can be as we were or better. After I did open up to him again I felt closer to him as I’ve never felt before.

Now I see that he’s a completely different person in a good way. I’ve seen him from his worse until now I hope he can maintain this and I hope he won’t go back to his old habits. I can say that I’m proud of him. People make mistakes I believe that people can change.

NAME: Mr. LuisSalma Hayek is a very beautiful woman with somewhat a good taste in fashion. This is not one of those moments.

After a glance the dress looks like a pillar in someone’s house in Pondok Indah. Besides that, it basically looks like a royal pillow.

And the color looks like a color of my liquid soapThe ruffles is her dress looks like the old sheets for the bed

Tiffany Haddish is a very funny person. She is also very beautiful. But in this case well damn she looks like 1 a curtain or a table mat. Also the fact that it’s the Oscars not the MET GALA so why does she look like she’s going to church or a cult however the color is good

Besides that it looks like it’s so uncomfortable because of the cape and also the cape is so out of place like it’s a bit to much. For me the stitching on the dress id good but the pattern is a bit weird and out of place

Rita Moreno is a legend in Hollywood she is one of the greatest actress in this world. She had her moments throughout the years. Well this is an example of one of those moments. This is an ugly dress. It looks like she’s a teapot or one of whose really old Chinese snacks like a moon cake. She looks like she’s trying to look young again but this isn’t the way. This is a really ugly dress
