Since its launch in 2007, Marine Electronics & Communications has described and analyzed advances in electronics and communications. Geared toward information communication technology personnel in the maritime industry, the magazine features topical discussions focusing on ECDIS, bridge systems and VSAT on board modern ships. The editorial staff also reports on the uptake of fleet

management software, vessel performance monitoring and communications between ship and shore. It publishes six times a year, in addition to publishing The Complete Guide to ECDIS and The Complete Guide to VSAT.

Editor Martyn Wingrove has been writing about shipping and energy since 1997 when he worked with offshore consultants Smith Rea Energy and Douglas Westwood. Prior to that, he worked on oil drilling rigs in the North Sea. In 2000, Wingrove joined Informa Group as a journalist on Energy Day and Lloyd’s List, becoming energy editor in 2007. He came to Riviera Maritime Media as editor of Marine Electronics & Communications in 2010. He also edits supplements on ECDIS and VSAT and contributes to other Riviera titles.
