**NOTE: What are Defense Savings Stamps?The Defense Postal Savings Stamp Albums were distributed by the U.S. Treasury, mostly through the Post Office Department. It was a way for the government to have the public help finance the war effort. War savings stamps were first issued in 1917, during World War I. In May, 1941, the America on Guard series appeared, consisting of 10, 25, 50 cents, $1 and $5 denominations. Use was encouraged as a way for the public to save money and at the same time contribute to the war effort. Adults could place them in correspondingly higher value "albums" and trade them in upon completion for $50.00, $100.00 or higher denomination War Savings Bonds.

The League property of four (4) dartball boards and all new and used darts be given to the YMCA in recognition of their interest and corporation in organizing and sponsoring the Industrial Dartball League from 1939 to 1947.”

President Orlando Picard opened the meeting. The Treasurer reported a balance of $134.30 which was accepted. The League will have eight (8) teams. No playing the week of deer hunting, Christmas and New Year. There will be new darts the start of first and second half and prize money will be the same. Managers will fill out a player’s list at the start of the season.

thanked the League for their support playing at the Moose Lodge.Special guest speaker was Green Bay Packer Backfield Coach, Red Cochran. Mr. Cochran

talked about the Packers, how he enjoyed the City of Green Bay and the support they gave the Packers. He admitted that he never heard about dartball until at our banquet.

During the year the League will have three (3) parties. For the parties the League would furnish beer and lunch to the players free of charge. If the VFW can furnish the material for the party the League may purchase directly from them. The price must be agreeable with the League

The banquet will be held at the VFW. If not, the VFW will get $5.00 per night for hall rental.The League will set up and clean up before and after play each evening. They will also sweep
