What is Microsoft OneDrive?OneDrive is an online storage system (also known as cloud storage) for those with a Microsoft account. You can create, edit, and share Microsoft documents as well as store pictures, videos, and music. Content is available from any device with an internet connection.

 

How to Access OneDrive:1. Open your browser and go to OneDrive.com

 

 

 

2. Click on Sign In. 

3. Sign in using your email address and Microsoft password. The following emails are

associated with Microsoft

and will work to login:

  Outlook

  Hotmail

  Live

  MSN

Microsoft OneDrive

Upload a FileEvery account comes with 5G of free storage. Upload files by clicking on the upload button located at the top of the screen.

 

 

 

 

 

1. Use the dialog box that

appears to find the file on

your computer that you want

to upload.

 

2. Click on Open to upload your file.

 

 Create a DocumentOneDrive users have access to basic

Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.

Click on New to open and create a new

document.

 

 

Create a DocumentYou can also click on the

cluster of squares in

the upper left-hand corner

of the screen to access

various programs.

 

Ex: Word Online  button located at the top of the screen.

 

 The tabs and controls mimic the full version .

Click on Document1  to change the name of the file.

Save or Open and Existing DocumentClick on File to access commands such as Save As, Print, or Share. Click Open to retrieve a project that you have previously worked on.

To save a file to your computer, rather than OneDrive, click Save As and choose a destination for your file from the pop-up box.

Share FilesShare photos, Microsoft

Office documents, other files,

and folders with others.

 

 

 

 

Click Share, either from the top of the page or from the File tab and then choose Get a Link or Email. Get a Link is used to share the file with multiple people and can be used on social media sites such as Facebook.

Email is used to send the file to specific people.

  

You can mark whether or not the recipient has editing privileges.
