Plants make most food people eat. They grow almost everywhere on our planet. Their parts include roots stems, s and leaves. The root takes in water and nutrients from the soil. The stem carries water and nutrients from the roots to the other parts. The leaves take in nutrients and light. All plants produce flowers to make seeds so another plant can grow. Plants need energy to grow, replace damaged cells, get rid of waste and reproduce. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants make food.

In this process, carbon dioxide and water combine in the presence of light to from food. 2- Read the following passage then answer the question :

We cannot isolate ourselves from the current events that take place in our beloved country nearly every day. We feel proud when we watch on TV promising young people reflecting on an achievement of their own. Some have put plans to exploit the banks of the Nile in a way that will help economy and beautify them as well. Others speak about inventing cars that run on others fuels rather than petrol. Another group has formed an association with the aim of setting up small projects for poor families, and many good examples of the true Egyptian character that has overcome many challenges over the years showing its true mettle in hard times.

You can form a small society to clean your area and spread awareness among people to keep it clean. You can plant trees on the sides of the roads and streams. You may help with teaching illiterate people to read and write. You can do many useful things, but never be one of those irresponsible figures who burn our dreams of progress and prosperity.
