Agenda revision 1.4 was reviewed. Motion by S. Wiley and seconded by J. Rhoads; motion was amended by T. Cooper to add to the agenda an update on Tuesday of the HL7 Co-Chairs Meeting that would be held on Monday evening. Amended agenda was approved.
Minutes and action items from the January 2014 Committee Meeting were reviewed. John Rhoads reported that efforts to discontinue HCD DEV Project #s 513 and 595 were in process. Motion to approve minutes as presented was advanced (T. Cooper), seconded (J. Garguilo), and approved.
HL7/HCD Status Reporto A. Hobbs’ new role as an independent consultant and in private practice in California. Expect to
clarify the co-chair position at the September, 2014 HL7 Working Group Meeting. J. Rhoads standing for re-election as an HL7 Co-Chair,
o Project 595 – discontinue as an HL7 project; FHIR is the successor to this project.
o Project 850 – still active; interest expressed by Dr. John Walsh at MGH.
o HL7 Terminology Authority – HL7 and IHTSDO (owner of SNOMED CT) created a single au-thority for terminology and manage the vetting process. Group met in January; similar discussion in CIMI (clinical information model interface), and agreeing to integrate with the HL7 and IHTSDO groups.
o HL7 Conformance Testing – HL7 initiated a conformance testing program approximately 4 months ago. Had a pilot project around registries for immunizations (HL7), done in conjunction with CDC. Aegis is driving this testing initiative.

DIM Revision: Editorial approach working with new tool from NIST (+ LaTeX usage) (M. Faughn/K. Fuchs)
o Would like to have the next DIM revision document to be generated by the NIST tool; need to confirm the ability of IEEE SA personnel to accept the document file type; will provide IEEE SA examples of what Prometheus intends to provide by May 16.
o Will re-create several diagrams (some of which originated from Enterprise Architect, not MagicDraw); o Original documents for 20101 are not availableo IEEE SA’s Central Desktop will have tools in the future (like X1 platform) to support real-time capture
of the standard committee content into the IEEE-required formats and editorial conventions. DIM Roadmap planning (K. Fuchs/J. Wittenber)
o Will convene a small team to address during the IHE PCD Standards and Tooling Coordination telecon (Thursdays, 14:00 ET); results of this group will be an updated DIM proposal at the next IEEE 11073 Standards Committee Meeting.
o 11073 nomenclature is larger than that in hRTM in RTMMS; the relationship content of RTMMS effectively becomes a DIM.
PAR Updates: 20101 Expires end of year – extension possible (K. Fuchs)
o Proposing to re-ballot and approve before end of 2014, otherwise, seek extension submission before mid-September
o Jan to take lead in initiating this process 10201 Expires end of year – no extensions
o Need to clarify with Todd what the plan is for update; proposed content changes involve association control (would also require updated DIM)
