A few words from our Charitable Program…

As we start our projects after a summer break every year we reach out to our volunteers in Ukraine with the same question. Are they willing and able to continue working with us? We know for sure that they are willing, because these are people who strongly believe in helping the poor but maybe something has happened in their lives that will prevent them from continuing their work. For example one of our strongest volunteers has fallen ill and as we pray for his recovery we have to look for someone to replace him. We are dealing with great distances and this is a long process because as we well know we cannot trust just anyone. We ask for your prayers. Please pray for the remarkable hard working people who are willing to work with us and please pray for our wonderful donors without whom none of what we are doing would be possible. We are continuing our project which we call FEEDING THE HUNGRY. Please join us in bringing a large bag of food to people for whom this will be a huge gift of not only food but also moral support.

Коли ми починаємо свої проекти після літної перерви, що року наново звертаємося до своїх волонтерів в Україні з питанням, чи вони хочуть і чи можуть з нами дальше співпрацювати. Ми знаємо напевно, що вони хочуть з нами працювати бо це люди віддані справі допомоги ближньому але може в них щось в житті змінилося. І так

сталося з одним із наших найсильніших волонтерів, він захворів. І поки ми молимося за його видужання, ми мусимо шукати когось на його місце. Це праця на велику віддаль і довго триває тому що, як ми добре знаємо, ми мусимо добре переглянути до кого можна мати довір’я. Ми просимо вас помолитися за тих

надзвичайних людей які з нами співпрацюють і також помолитися за тих чудових людей, які своїми щедрими датками уможливлюють нашу велику працю. Ми продовжуємо свій проект, якого називаємо НАГОДУЙМО ГОЛОДНИХ. Прошу допоможуть нам подарувати велику торбу продуктів людям, для яких це буде великим подарунком не лиш їжу але також моральною підтримкою.

Ви можете хвилюватися і навіть сердитися, але не забувайте, що ваше життя - це найбільша справа на світі. Тільки ти можеш зупинити його від розвалу. Багато людей вас цінують, захоплюються вами та люблять вас. Пам’ятайте, що бути щасливим - це не значить небо без бурі, дороги без аварій, роботи без втоми, стосунки без розчарувань. Бути щасливим - це знаходити силу в прощенні, надію в битвах, безпеку на стадії страху, любов у розбраті. Це не тільки насолоджуватися посмішкою, але й міркувати про сум. Це не лише відзначити успіхи, але щось навчитися з невдач. Це не тільки відчувати задоволення від оплесків, але й радіти в анонімності. Бути щасливим - це перестати відчувати себе жертвою і стати автором своєї долі. Це переходити пустелі, та все ж мати можливість знайти оазу у глибині нашої душі. Це дякувати Богу за кожен ранок, за диво життя. Бути щасливим - це не боятися власних почуттів і мати сміливість почути "ні". Це впевненість перед обличчям критики, навіть коли вона є неоправданою. Це цілувати своїх дітей, тішити батьків, переживати поетичні моменти з друзями, навіть коли вони завдають нам болю. Бути щасливим - це мати зрілість сказати: "Я зробив помилки". Це сміливість сказати: "Вибачте мені". Це чутливість сказати: "Ви мені потрібні". Це вміти сказати "я тебе люблю". Нехай ваше життя стане садом можливостей для щастя ... щоб навесні це був любитель радості. Взимку любитель мудрості. А коли помилишся, почни все спочатку. Бо лише тоді ти будеш закоханий у життя. Ви побачите, що бути щасливим - це не мати ідеального життя. Але використовуйте сльози для зрошення толерантності. Використовуйте свої втрати, щоб навчитися терпеливості. Використовуйте свої помилки щоб будувати безтурботність. Використовуйте біль для того, щоб навчитися задоволення. Використовуйте перешкоди, щоб відкрити вікна до навчання. Ніколи не здавайся. Ніколи не відмовляйтеся від щастя, адже життя - це неймовірнyй експонат.

It is to have the ability to say "I love you". May your life become a garden of opportunities for happiness ... That in spring may it be a lover of joy. In winter a lover of wisdom. And when you make a mistake, start all over again. For only then will you be in love with life. You will find that to be happy is not to have a perfect life. But use the tears to irrigate tolerance. Use your losses to train patience. Use your mistakes to sculptor serenity. Use pain to plaster pleasure. Use obstacles to open windows of intelligence. Never give up .... Never give up on people who love you. Never give up on happiness, for life is an incredible show.

Євангеліє: Від Луки 5: 1-11 Одного разу, коли народ юрмився коло нього, щоб почути слово Боже, і він стояв біля Генезаретського озера, побачив два човни, що стояли край озера; рибалки вийшли з них і полоскали сіті. Він увійшов в один з човнів, що належав Симонові, і попросив його відплисти трохи від землі, а сам, сівши, з човна почав народ учити. Коли він перестав говорити, сказав до Симона: “Відчали на глибінь та й закиньте ваші сіті на ловитву.” Озвався Симон і каже: “Наставнику, всю ніч трудились ми й нічого не піймали, але на твоє слово закину сіті.” Так вони й зробили, і піймали велику силу риби, і їхні сіті почали рватися. Тоді вони кивнули до своїх товаришів, що були в другім човні, щоб ті прийшли й допомогли їм. Прийшли вони й наповнили обидва човни, аж почали потопати. Побачивши це Симон Петро, припав до колін Ісуса й каже: “Іди від мене, Господи, бо я грішна людина.” Жах бо великий огорнув його й усіх, що були з ним, із-за риб, що їх піймали; також і Якова та Йоана, синів Заведея, які були спільниками Симона. Ісус же промовив до Симона: “Не бійся! Віднині людей будеш ловити.” І витягши човна на берег, кинули все й пішли слідом за ним. Причасний: Хваліте Господа з небес, хваліте його в вишніх. Алилуя! Алилуя! Алилуя!

Gospel: Luke 5: 1-11 At that time as he stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, and the crowd pressed in on him to hear the word of God, he saw two boats moored by the side of the lake; the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to pull out a short distance from the shore; then, remaining seated, he continued to teach the crowds from the boat. When he had finished speaking he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we have been hard at it all night long and have caught nothing; but if you say so, I will lower the nets.” Upon doing this they caught such a great number of fish that their nets were at the breaking point. They signaled to their mates in the other boat to come and help them. These came, and together they filled the two boats until they nearly sank. At the sight of this, Simon Peter fell at the knees of Jesus saying, “Leave me, Lord. I am a sinful man.” For indeed, amazement at the catch they had made seized him and all his shipmates, as well as James and John, Zebedee’s sons, who were partners with Simon. Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will be catching men.” With that they brought their boats to land, left everything, and became his followers.
