There are 2 sites to see the Mayan Ruins (aka Copanas Ruinas)This larger site Copan, Mayan is, whereas the smaller one. Both sites sit in an unbelievably lush valley separated by the Rio Chamelecon. Forested mountains also surround huge tobacco farms in this valley. The sky is not full of pollution and you can watch the shadows of passing clouds move along the mountains and over the tobacco fields. The setting is awesome and its beauty laid back in its peacefulness. Marcus and Brayden

In 616, the Romans' practical Etruscan neighbours seized power, but were defeated in 509, the Dawn of the Roman Republic. It conquered most of the rest of Italy, then turned its attention to the ocean and by the 1st century BC, ruled Spain, North Africa and Greece. The expansion of the Roman Empire provided opportunities for people hungry for power, and the clashing of egos led to fallof their democracy. Julias Ceasar ruled for a time as dictator, and his nephew Octavian became Rome's first emperor, his sons name is Agustus.

What was the life of a Roman Soldier like? The life of a Roman soldier was very hard . Roman soldiers were trained to march TWENTY miles a day, with a burden of eighty pounds. Roman Soldiers had the skills and abilities to swim rivers, to climb mountains, to charge forests, and to encounter every kind of danger(in 80 pound armor). The soldiers of the Roman army provided the labour to build walls, forts and roads. In fact Roman Soldiers built over 250000 miles of roads, the majority of which were in Western Europe. Roman soldiers built many many forts - the purpose of these buildings were to act as forward base camps. These forts were built with many defences. Wooden blockades were raised and surrounded by ditches wherever Roman soldiers camped and whenever Roman Forts were built. Manpower, organization and reconstructable forts enabled the Romans to build Roman Forts quickly and efficiently.
