You will be using tableau to depict your analysis of MAUS

Your tableau should examine the presence of a theme in MAUS, and provide analysis of that theme through the Tableau and the tapout portion.

You will work in groups of 6 or less. Each group member must have a role in the tableau. Your group will be expected to remain in the tableau for 30 seconds, unmoving. The group will then stay in their tableau for an additional 3 minutes, during which, audience will allowed to “tap out” members of the tableau. Once tapped, that member (and only that member) may respond to questions posed by the audience. Tapped out members must remain in character through the entire tableau. Only one member may be tapped out at a time.

The goal of the audience will be to determine who each performer represents, as well as the theme of the tableau. At the end of the 3 min, group will give an explanation of their tableau. The grade of the group will be largely based on the clear development of theme.

Costumes and props may be used to further development of analysis.

Project Guidelines: Group Component
