Below What You'll Need is the Parts list. This also is included on the Cutting Diagram page,which is the next to last page of this plan document. Also on the Cutting Diagram page is anestimate of the cost of the lumber. This estimate doesn't include any other supplies and doesnot factor in sales tax.

NOTE Use the layouts as guides for measuring, marking, cutting, and drilling pocket holes in theSide Rails and Cleats. Be sure to set your pocket hole j ig and drill bit for 3/4-inch stock.Make two Side Rails and three Cleats. For one Cleat, only drill the pocket holes on the ends.

Clamp the parts in place during assembly.

NOTEPosition the parts as shown and attach the Bottom to theCleats using glue and 1 1 /4-inch brads. Fill any visiblepocket holes, screw holes, and brad holes and apply afinish as desired. Do not apply a finish to the top ends ofthe Legs or the top edges of the Rails.

NOTEPostion the Slat Assembly as shown andattach using glue and 1 1 /4-inch brads.On the outside the Leg­Rail Assembly,the Slat Assembly should extend 2 1 /4inches beyond the edges. On theinterior, the Slat Assembly shouldextend beyond the inside faces of theRails by 3/4-inch. Fill the brad holesand apply a finish as desired.
