What is E-Safety?What is E-Safety?
E-Safety is about ensuring that, through appropriate guidance, children learn to use new technologies in a way which will keep them safe without limiting their opportunities for creation and innovation.
Adults and new Media…Adults and new Media…
Everything that’s already in the world when you’re born is just normal;
Anything that gets invented between then and before you turn thirty is incredibly exciting and creative and with any luck you can make a career out of it;
Adults and new Media…Adults and new Media…
Adults and new Media…Adults and new Media…
“Anything that gets invented after you’re thirty is against the natural order of things and the beginning of the end of civilization as we know it …until it’s been around for about ten years when it gradually turns out to be alright really.”
Douglas Adams
The Byron ReportThe Byron Report
"Children and young people need to be empowered to keep themselves safe - this isn't just about a top-down approach. At a public swimming pool we have gates, put up signs, have lifeguards and shallow ends, but we also teach children how to swim.“
Tanya Byron
