ЭПК-01 Series SOLENOID VALVES DN 3…100 PN 0…10,0 MPa

Solenoid valves of EPK-01 series are manufactured according to TM 0206.00.000 ТУ specification and intended for use as shut-off valves in chemical, nuclear power, oil, cryogenic industries for operation with corrosive, toxic, inflammable, radiation medium.

The valves are non-gland design without membrane. The external leak tightness of solenoid is ensured by spacer tube.

Explosion-proof level conforms to 1ЕхdIIВТ4 as per GOST 51330, coil enclosure conforms IР 65 as per GOST 14254.

Assigned service life - 15 years.

Mean time between failure:

- 15 000 cycles for direct action and pilot stage solenoid valves;

- 10 000 cycles for solenoid valves with forced piston displacement.

Warranty period - 18 months, but not more than 24 months after shipment.

Technical parameters

1) Leak tightness, as per GOST 9544-2005, class “B”. For class “A” the minimum inlet pressure 0,1 MPa shall be ensured.

2) Temperature of operating medium: -50 to +200˚С.

3) Ambient temperature: -60 to +50˚С. 4) Air humidity: up to 100%.

5) Contamination level of operating medium: solid particles of 100 mkm, maximum.

6) Recommended installation: horizontal, solenoid upwards, +20˚.

7) Response: 1 sec, maximum.

8) Duty: continuous

9) Switching speed: - operating pressure up to 2,5 MPa – noт limited;

- operating pressure above 2,5 MPa – 2 seconds minimum after previous switching.

10) Power: - pull-in – 300 Watt, max; - holding – 100 Watt, max.

11) Seat/ seal material: polytetrafluorethylene.

12) Seal material of “body – cap” joint: rubber.

13) Body material (optional):

- steel 20, GOST 1050-88; - steel 09Г2С GOST 19282-73; - 12Х18Н10Т GOST 5632-72;

- 10Х17Н13М3Т GOST 5632-72.

Principle of operation

The valve is actuated by solenoid. The direction of working medium is one-way to the gate. The backpressure (when outlet fitting pressure exceeds inlet pressure) or opposite direction of working medium is not allowed. These result in spontaneous opening of the valve.

The gate pressure drop is not required for operation.

14) Materials of parts which are in contact with operating medium:

- 14Х17Н2 GOST 5632-72, - 20Х13 GOST 5632-72, - 12Х18Н10Т GOST 5632-72.

15) Operating medium: water, condensate, air, carbohydrates, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, inert gas, oil products, Freon, ammonia, spirits and other liquid and gaseous medium, including corrosive medium.

16) Types of solenoids classified by initial position:

- «НЗ» – normally closed; at no supply voltage the valve is closed; - «НО» – normally open; at no supply voltage the valve is open; - «ПИ» - pulse control (energy saving solution); the valve is driven by short-time voltage impulse, at no voltage supply the valve remains at command position.

Valves with «ПИ» solenoid type are manufactured for pressure up to 2,5 MPa. The supply voltage indicator is optional for «НЗ» and «НО» solenoid types.

17) Supply voltage:

- valves with «НЗ» and «НО» solenoid type: 24VDC, 220VAC 50Hz;

- valves with «ПИ» solenoid type: 220VAC, special control scheme is used.

18) Connection to the pipeline:

- flanged with sealing surfaces to GOST 12815-80, version 5 (only for DN 10); - nipple with the ends to GOST 2822-78, version 2;

- socket joint to GOST 6527-68 for valves DN 6, 10 and PN up to 2,5 MPa (optional).

Additionally by customer request the valves can be supplied with matching mounting kit:

- matching flanges as per GOST 12815-80, version 4; - mounting kit for nipple connection as per GOST 5890-78, version 1.

18) Connection to the pipeline: - flanged with sealing surfaces as per GOST 12815-80, version 5; - nipple with the ends as per GOST 2822-78, version 2 (DN15…32); - socket joint as per GOST 6527-68 for valves DN 15…80 and PN up to 2,5 MPa (optional).

Additionally by customer request the valves can be supplied with matching mounting kit: - matching flanges as per GOST 12815-80, version 4; - mounting kit for nipple connection as per GOST 5890-78, version 1.

19) Back-up design: - valves with «ПИ» solenoid type, valves with «НЗ» solenoid type for pressure up to 4,0 MPa, valves with «НЗ» solenoid type DN 15…25 for pressure above 4,0 MPa, without position indicator can be supplied with the back-up handle of the forced piston displacement; - valves DN 15…100 with «НО» solenoid type, valves DN 32…100 with «НЗ» solenoid type for pressure above and any valve with position indicator can be supplied with the back-up bypass valve; - by customer request the valves with «ПИ» solenoid type can be supplied with the back-up bypass valve.

Принцип действия

Technical parameters

1) Leak tightness as per GOST 9544-2005, class “B”. For class “A” the minimum inlet pressure 0,1 MPa shall be ensured: DN15…50 -0,3 MPa; DN65…100 -0,4 MPa 2) Temperature of operating medium: -50 to +180˚С. 3) Ambient temperature: -60 to +50˚С. 4) Air humidity: up to 100%. 5) Contamination level of operating medium: solid particles of 63 mkm, maximum. 6) Recommended installation: horizontal, solenoid upwards, +10˚. 7) Response: 3 sec, max. 8) Duty: continuous 9) Switching speed: 2 seconds minimum after previous switching. 10) Coil power:

- pull-in – 700 Watt; - holding – 100 Watt.

11) Seal /seat material: polytetrafluorethylene. 12) Seal material of “body – cap” joint: rubber. 13) Body material (optional):

- steel 20, GOST 1050-88; - steel 09Г2С GOST 19282-73; - 12Х18Н10Т GOST 5632-72; - 10Х17Н13М3Т GOST 5632-72.

14) Materials of parts which are in contact with operating medium: - 14Х17Н2 GOST 5632-72, - 20Х13 GOST 5632-72, - 12Х18Н10Т GOST 5632-72.

15) Operating medium: water, condensate, air, carbohydrates, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, inert gas, oil products, Freon, ammonia, spirits and other liquid and gaseous medium, including corrosive medium.

Principle of operation

The valve is actuated by solenoid and pressure drop or by solenoid only when no pressure applied. The valve closing is ensured by return spring. The valve can be closed at no pressure supply. The direction of working medium is one-way to the seat. The pressure drop is not required for operation. The backpressure (when outlet fitting pressure exceeds inlet pressure) or opposite direction of working medium is not allowed. These result in spontaneous opening of the valve.

16) Types of solenoids classified by initial position:

- «НЗ» – normally closed; at no supply voltage the valve is closed; Valves with «ПИ» solenoid type are manufactured for pressure up to 2,5 MPa. The following design options are provided

- supply voltage indicator (2A/220VAC); - position indicator (1A/24VDC).

17) Supply voltage: - 24VDC, 220VAC 50Hz;

18) Connection to the pipeline: - flanged with sealing surfaces as per GOST 12815-80, version 5; - nipple with the ends as per GOST 2822-78, version 2 (DN15…32); - socket joint as per GOST 6527-68 for valves DN 15…80 and PN up to 2,5 MPa (optional).

Additionally by customer request the valves can be supplied with matching mounting kit: - matching flanges as per GOST 12815-80, version 4; - mounting kit for nipple connection as per GOST 5890-78, version 1.

19) Back-up design: - valves can be supplied with the hand back-up of the forced piston displacement;

20) Connection to the pipeline:

- flanged with sealing surfaces to GOST 12815-80, version 5 (only for DN 10); - nipple with the ends to GOST 2822-78, version 2; - socket joint to GOST 6527-68 for valves DN 6, 10 and PN up to 2,5 MPa (optional).

Additionally by customer request the valves can be supplied with matching mounting kit:

- matching flanges as per GOST 12815-80, version 4; - mounting kit for nipple connection as per GOST 5890-78, version 1.
