In the controversy of the Sadducees concerning the Resurrection, the Lord
said to them — who did not believe in it: but God called himself the “God of
Abraham, of Isaac, of Jacob”. The three are part of God’s name, they are
inscribed in God’s name, they are in God’s name, in the memory of God, and
thus the Lord says: God is not a God of the dead, he is a God of the living,
and those who are part of God’s name, who are in the memory of God, are
alive. We, human beings, with our memory, can unfortunately only preserve
a shadow of the people we have loved. The memory of God, however, does
not preserve only shadows, it is the origin of life; here the dead are alive, in
his life and with his life they have entered the memory of God which is life.
The Lord says this to us today: you are inscribed in the name of God, you live
in God with true life, you live by the true source of life.

NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK
National Vocation Awareness Week will be celebrated in our country
November 6-12, 2016. Please ask Our Lord for more dedicated, holy priests,
deacons and consecrated men and women. May they be inspired by Jesus
Christ, supported by our faith community, and respond generously to God’s
gift of a vocation.

The U.S. bishops remind us, "In the Catholic Tradition,
responsible citizenship is a virtue, and participation in
political life is a moral obligation.” To help parishioners
become informed on where candidates stand on key
issues, the Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops has
polled those running for U.S. Congress and the Florida

En la controversia con los saduceos acerca de la resurrección, el Señor les
dice a ellos, que no creen en ella: Dios se llamó “Dios de Abraham, de
Isaac y de Jacob”. Los tres forman parte del nombre de Dios, están
inscritos en el nombre de Dios, están en el nombre de Dios, en la memoria
de Dios, y así el Señor dice: Dios no es un Dios de muertos, es un Dios de
vivos, y quien forma parte del nombre de Dios, quién está en la memoria
de Dios, está vivo. Nosotros, los hombres, con nuestra memoria,
lamentablemente podemos conservar sólo una sombra de las personas a
las que hemos amado. Pero la memoria de Dios no conserva sólo sombras,
es origen de vida: aquí los muertos viven, en su vida y con su vida han
entrado en la memoria de Dios, que es vida. Esto nos dice hoy el Señor:
“Tú estás inscrito en el nombre de Dios, tú vives en Dios con la vida
verdadera, vives de la fuente verdadera de la vida”.

Semana de Oración por las Vocaciones
La Semana de Oración por las Vocaciones se celebra en nuestro país del 6 al 12
de noviembre de 2016. Por favor pidamos a nuestro Señor nos envíe sacerdotes
santos, diáconos y hombres y mujeres consagrados más dedicados. Que sean
inspirados por Jesucristo, con el apoyo de nuestra comunidad de fe, y respondan
con generosidad al don de la vocación de Dios

Tradición católica, ser ciudadanos responsables es una
virtud y la participación en la vida política es una obligación
moral.” La Conferencia de Obispos Católicos de la Florida,
para asistir a los feligreses que quieren conocer la posición
de candidatos políticos sobre temas claves, ha encuestado
aquellos postulándose para el congreso y la legislatura

our blessings and give back to our Lord
by helping our Parish families who are
in need. Please bring canned goods,
rice and non-perishable foods to the
church or office. Our St. Vincent de
Paul members will make food boxes
up, so all our families will have a
blessed Thanksgiving. God bless you!
