Kathy Troccoli was born on June 24, 1958

She was born in Brooklyn, NY

Her family was Italian and Catholic.

Madonna was born in Bay City Michigan on August 16, 1958

Her mother was killed from breast cancer when she was 6 years old.

When Kathy was three they moved to the East Islip community in Long Island.

When she was 15 her father was killed from Colon Cancer.

She later attended Berklee College of Music in Boston.

When she was 19 Madonna moved to New York City.

Two years later she became a part of the Patrick Hernandez Revue.

+1980’s*

Kathy opened for Ed Nalle in 1980.

Her first demos were given to Michael Blaton and Dan Harrell who then started the Reunion Label.

Her first album was released two years later. “Stubborn Love”

Madonna had started a short term band called Emmy with Stephen Bray.

Two years after this she received her first break and signed with Sire Records.

She was married to Sean Penn in 1985.

Besides Music Kathy has also written ad well as Co-written many Christian based books for women.

She also travels and speaks to women all over. Usually when speaking she will sing for the women as well.

Madonna went on her first tour in 1990.

In 1992 She won a Grammy for Best music Video. Later she started her own Label.

She continued to release numerous Cds!

Kathy lost her father when she was very young.

In her later years she eventually ended up losing her mother to cancer as well.

Kathy’s family had a very strong Catholic background.

Madonna had also lost her mother to Cancer.

Most of her life she was influenced by her stepmother who was extremely religious and strict with Madonna.

Although Kathy was raised in a Catholic family she eventually went her own way.

Kathy became a Christian women and this is the reason for her success with her music and writing.

Madonna on the other hand went the complete other direction.

Because of the strict influence she rebelled and became the women she is today.

Kathy is not married and is extremely happy.

She keeps a journal to her future husband and prays for him daily.

However, she is content in knowing that her Savior is all she needs to keep her happy.

Madonna would say that the reason she is the way she is is because she didn’t have a mother.

Because of this she basically says and does what ever she pleases.

She also has two children.

Both Kathy and Madonna have had similar lives and situations that they have been through.
