2/ This heart was cut out of paper thathad been painted and textured byscraping cardboard on it. The backgroundsquare is also a textured painted paper-yellow with pink scraped with a fork.

3/ This heart was made by tearing andgluing coloured paper on top of eachother then using the heart template to cutout the shape. The background square isjust plain dark blue paper.

4/ First I painted some newspaper withwatercolours, then cut out the heart whenit was dry. I cut a scallop shap from pinkcardboard for a bit of extra clolour thenglued them together onto a blue spongepainted paper square.

Print this template and cut it out to use to trace onto your chosen paper to cutout the heart and background 12cm square. Remember to trace your template onthe back of the paper so you don't see any pencil lines on your work.If you can't print the template, just use a ruler to measure a square with sides12cm and do you best to draw a hear that takes up most of the space inside, likethe template.
