36th NW8T ARRANCEMENTS

Joe Greve and Chuck Wilson, Co- Dir ectors of the 36th NWBT to be held in Kansas City, Harch 30 and 31, report that everything is falling into place to make the event and the annual meeting a memorable time for everyone. They have gone to great lengths to make it convenient and affordable for the general membership of the NWBA . Team representatives. coaches and others affiliated with the sport are encouraged t o make the trip to Kansas City to take it all in . Although only two representatives for each team are allowed to vote during the annual meeting , others can attend and take part in the discussions and debates.

Admission to each day's games is only $1.00 per person; the banquet that follows the championship game is only $20.00 per person; and room rates are reasonably priced at $35 . 00 for a single and $41.00 for a double . It's t he best bargain to come down the pike in some time!

If anyone drives to Kansas City in a recreational vehicle - i.e . motor home - contact Joe Greve before March 13 to find out what to do abo ut parking.

HANSON WINS HEAD COACH SPOT

The Selection Committee , chaired by President Lapicola, had as its members: Debbie Dillon, Chairperson of the Women ' s Division ; Bob Szyman, Coach of Courage Center Rolling Gophers men 's teams; Olivia Reyes , Southern California Sunrise; and Carol Wolfington, Sacramento Gold Rush.

WOMEN'S TRAINING CAMP PLANNED

The camp will allow the Women ' s Division to see mo re of the basketball talent around the country and will assist the officers and coaches in the selection of the U.S. national team . If the schedule permits. a composite team will be selected f r om among this gr oup to participate on an unofficial basis in the NWWBT . Anyone wishing more details is asked to contact Tournament Director John Chambers at 794 Veterans Memorial Drive , Las Vegas, NE (702)386-6296 or Women ' s Division Chairperson Debbie Dillon at: 15602 Linda Ave. , Los Gatos .
