4-H Ambassador Program
About the Ambassador Program
Established in 1994
Ambassador are selected each year through an application and interview process
Group of 4-H members who work to promote 4-H, maintain donor relations, and assist the state office
Roles and Responsibilities
Main Goals of the Ambassadors Make 4-H more visible in
the community Tell the 4-H story Maintain donor
relationships Each Ambassador
reports every month to keep a record of their activities

Assisting State Office State Judging Contests Macy’s Shop for a Cause Clover Classic Golf Tournament
Leadership Training Speaking about 4-H Corresponding with 4-H Donors

Due by February 28th to the state office Application form includes
Official application Essay - “What 4-H Has Done For You and How You
Can Give Back As a State Ambassador” Certification Form (included with application
packet) 3 Letters of Reference – from your educator, your
parents, and a non-family member
Tips For the Application
Start Early – especially on the essay
Ask for reference letters well in advance
Read the entire application packet carefully
